Australian Women’s Forum (Nude male magazine)

Thanks for starting this thread. The mag brings back a lot of nostalgic memories, including hiding at the back of a news agency to quickly browse, for the times I’m too embarrassed to make a purchase!

I might have the odd copy somewhere at home so will post some pics if I can find it. Australian men were, and still are, the fittest, most natural and sexy men!
omg - i was the same - in the news agency checking out the cleo mags & the AWF mags hiding down the back not to be seen & too embarased to make a purchase...

My apologies, gentlemen. As promised earlier this year, I finally went home to look for my 1993-1998 stash of AWF mags, hoping to scan and upload for your enjoyment. Unfortunately, those along with a whole stack of other non-porny mags were thrown out maybe 5 years ago in a big cleanup. I can only hope some kind souls will continue to upload AWF scans into the future.....

Sad to hear, but yes, hopefully others will step up and share, before all physical copies are lost to the rubbish heaps of history! :(

On the topic of old magazines of a non p0rny variety.... When I visited Australia back in the early 1990s, saw a copy of (I can't recall exactly) Woman's Day or Women's Weekly, maybe? Anyway, there was a memorable male underwear full page spread, towards the back of the magazine. I think it may have been a recurring feature? Anyone have any idea of what I'm talking about? Would love to see more and share to the thread 'Vintage Underwear Ads From Anywhere' ;)
Cheers!

From memory, Woman's Day and New Idea particularly had occasional male underwear adverts with REALLY hot models. I used to scan all my mum's copies hoping for hot guys. The most prominent media model in the early 90s was Douglas 'Doug' Penty. His main gig was modelling on Australia's most popular TV quiz show (often in shorts or underwear), and he featured heavily in mag adverts for underwear too.

The State Library of NSW has every issue, but I think it would be difficult to scan or photograph any of their content :/
This is true. However, the only issue that is missing is the one that had a photo of rugby league player Andrew Ettingshausen in the shower that showed his wang. He sued the photographer and publisher because even though he approved a photo he claimed he did not approve the full frontal image be released.

Also slightly off topic, but I remember "the picture" magazine which was a standard naked woman magazine available at servos for guys had a section called "home blokes" which usually contained about 5 or so photo's of naked readers looking to win $100. Some of them were really hot too. Also available on file at the National Library as far as i'm aware. I think they stopped doing the section after a certain time, but i'm fairly certain all through the 80's/90's at least it was still a regular feature.

For a fee (I'm not sure how much) Its possible to get them to scan copies of any magazine on file and send them out depending on the copyright status.
Can I get copies of items from the Library?

Where is this pretentious ex-rugby league player today? Does anyone really care.

The model on the cover was my friend Charlie. He passed away three years ago, this past February. He was a wonderful, sweet man.
It’s always nice to see his face pop up occasionally, like this. He did some modeling-mostly for fun. And usually for photographers that would use his images outside the U.S., namely Australia. :relieved:
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I lost my BEST FRIEND Since childhood, Almost 2 years ago...I'm still not over it...Worst of all is that he passed away 5 weeks after his birthday, Which is coming up next week. I can't believe he's gone. I just try to remember all the memories, And I hope that you have some wonderful ones of Charlie!!!
