    E. Lynn Harris: Dead At 54




    According to Twitter: leeskii: E. Lynn Harris is dead. Just talked to his dear friend, Houston federal judge Vanessa Gilmore. He Died of a heart attack at his hotel in LA.

    He managed to describe African-American skin color using more food groups than any author in history. And gave his characters more outlandish names to boot.

    I forgot most of all to say that I will miss his sensitive portrayals of men be they straight or gay. I loved it. He helped me and I am sure many women to see the multidimensional nature of the men we deal with every day. E Lynn, may you rest in peace! Thank you for hipping us all to what is happening out here.
