I don't think at any point this thread has poked fun at anyone with Aspergers or any other form of autism. If anything it is demonstrating that those on the autistic spectrum are no less intelligent and worthy than those of us considered "normal".

We have people here who are hugely intelligent and are on the autistic spectrum. Hopefully it will enlighten those who aren't familiar with the condition and who have wrongly assumed it was an indicator of having a lower IQ etc.

yeah, know for about 10 years, good to know why I'm the way I am, wouldn't change it as there are many positives to conteract the negatives. Although i do wish that I could express emotion in a more "acceptable" way, often causes problems in relationships.....

My best friends son has aspergers and I always find his aspie ways really endearing. He has very little awareness of social niceties and just says what he thinks, which I love.

I remember once, when he was about 12, he was at my house and nipped upstairs to use the loo. He'd been gone ages so I called up "Brenny are you alright?" to which came the response "yeah, I'm just having a look through your drawers". He'd gone into my bedroom and was nosing through my chest of drawers... no idea that that wasn't the sort of thing you do! haha

I wish more people understood his ways though, because he got punched in the face on his 18th birthday because he'd been staring at some bloke in a club. He didn't mean any harm, he just didn't understand that people don't want to be stared at. Not to worry, I came over all lady-like (not) and the lad who'd punched him ended up on his arse crying like a girl!

I'm not quite sure what this means...

Your Aspie score: 77 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 133 of 200
You are very likely neurotypical

But...

"You scored 34" on the short one.

I answered both surveys honestly but seem to have different results.

The good news is that you don't have Aspies, the bad news is that you are scizophrenic.

My Aspie score 40 out of 200
My neurotypical 169

Second test 14

probably been posted before, but here's a couple of tests to show if you might be.

Aspie-quiz
^^^the long one.
iAsperger Test (AQ Test) - Pie Palace
^^^the short one.
i scored 41

neato!

Long test, Aspie score of 130 of 200, well isn't that just precious.
Neurotypical (non-autistic)score of 96 of 200. Screw them whadda thye know, damn knot brained twats.

I apparently have both aspie and neurotypical traits.

Test 2 I scored 30, and at 32 one is indicated to have Asperger's or be a high functioning autistic person. (The first test was kinder in their wording.)
