Mine shows one of my hobbies, and the car that I started it in. The picture is from a racing school at brainard international raceway. The car is a VW GTI (golf sport). Fun car but I outgrew it quickly...not I drive a BMW M3 :)

Love reading all the replies in
here...it gives a tiny bit more
insight into people's personalities,
I think.

One or two mentioned changing
avatar's but I did read somewhere
on the site (don't know where the
No Nude Avatars Advisory is located)
that Rob mentioned your avi is like
your signature...people glance to
the left and know in a second who
is posting...he said it confuses people
to keep changing your avi...

Most people who rotate avatars use a select few pics. I understand and will comply with Rob's rules and have always found that the tone of the post is what I remember most, rather than the avatar.

I miss Elizabeth Montgomery in my sig so much that I was going to replace my avatar with her...but then I decided that I don't want people to think that Samantha Stevens is a member of LPSG.

Mine isn't unusual...it's SCOTT BAKULA!!!!!111111 w00t

Quantum Leap is the greatest TV Show ever and the character Scott plays so well is a very kind, intelligent and decent person. He's chivalrous, like Don Quixote, who was a [fictional] knight. I have a knight fixation...I was going to put a knight in my avatar but it doesnt look very good.

And now you know...knights turn me on. But not in a gay way XD

They're admirable, therefore so is Scott Bakula, also I like Dean Stockwell who also starred in the series. I think I've said too much? :D

There's one other board theat I post on, and people change their avatars there more frequently. It doesn't cause any problems. As said before, you can remember people by their ideas (and screen names) pretty easily as well.

I guess for people who have been around
for a while, it is no problem but when you
are new on the board it could get quite
confusing with so many people's names to
remember.

Oh...what's the name you call it, when
people use the little "image-name"
association to remind them of someone's
name? It's a tip they give in corporate
training...anyway, it does help when you
are first here, to "associate" people with
their avis...a shorthand quick reference.

I thought if people had an unusual avi,
they might like to tell us about it.

I want to know about LordFarks avi,
for starters.

I actually felt like posting my own picture as my avatar was a significant act. I'd decided no matter how strange or personal my posts would be, I wouldn't be afraid to write what I felt with my face as a backdrop.

That and compared to the tremendous appendages dangling around this site, a picture of my dick would get lost like a blade of grass in a wheat field.
