Hats off to you sir because I CAN NOT read about the Marvel Universe. It's just tooooooooooooooooooooooo VAST!!!!! There are only too things in this world that I actually get a headache from trying to fully comprehend.... One is religion...the other is the Marvel Universe.
But on a related note....did you see Thanos at the end?!![]()
What? too vast? man that's the whole thing about comics(especially Marvel and DC)that makes them great.it's the history and the growth from the great storytelling of those past and present creators.
i think the problem with comics today is that they cater too much to casual fan,or the "cool people" and in doing so they erase alot of the history and vastness of the characters and events(constant reboots of comic series, and horrible pretty boy Smallville like stuff on tv) instead of just pushing ahead and getting better talent to produce the books,so everything is nice and smooth for the casual fan.
i've been in over my head since 1977 with comics, and it was a great journey gettin' caught up all about my favorite heroes and villans, from going to flea markets,7-11's,trading with friends on the school yard at recess, and then the almighty comic shop.i've made alot of friends through those spots along the way.
but on a flipside, with the internet no comic universe is really too vast.everything one would want to know or read is right there.
and that being said the Avengers was well worth the wait, but i hope they don't dumb down Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet for fear that it might be too much for the casual fan.
