*hugs* thanks... hmmm so what do you think about how PowerGirl is portrayed? Huntress? Fire? I see them a LOT differently, especially after watching Justice League Unlimited.

Hawk Girl is one of my fave female characters. :) Bitchy, sarcastic, kicks ass yet the relationship storyline with Green Lantern is hot :)

This is true! I'm not as big a fan of the DC universe as I am Marvel. But Hawk Girl is awesome. And the joker will always be one of my favorite villains.

quote the character's creator

“Not even girls want to be girls so long as our feminine archetype lacks force, strength, and power. Not wanting to be girls, they don't want to be tender, submissive, peace-loving as good women are. Women's strong qualities have become despised because of their weakness. The obvious remedy is to create a feminine character with all the strength of Superman plus all the allure of a good and beautiful woman.”

added to the "fuck you, Wonder Woman" is a long trail of anti-feminist ookery from DC comics. :frown:

Huh? I thought Wonder Woman was supposed to be the iconic ultra feminist hero:

"In the early 1970s, she was adopted as a role model by the feminist movement and appeared on the cover of the inaugural issue of Ms. magazine. Yet few know that Wonder Woman was created as a distinctly feminist role model whose mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to “a world torn by the hatred of men.” "

The Legacy of Wonder Woman

Did I miss something?

Oh...ok. Guess I did miss something.

Here's how we caught the last scene of the Avengers movie. We left after the scene with "smiley face" (we all know who that was by now) and went to the "johns". Upon reentering the lobby a cleanup guy was standing there saying there's another scene at the end of the movie. "What? We saw the last scene," we sez. "No there's another after that," sez he.

So we go back into the theater as the credits wind down and catch the final bit. But we didn't know where or what they were chowing down.

BTW..if you haven't seen the DCOU trailer...It's what got me hooked. SOOO cool.. I love it. :) *people are making Marvel inspired toons...guilds of X-men and other marvel people* Since you make your own character...body..clothes...skills...weapons..powers. You can pretty much do what you want. :) so that makes it fun.

Download pack in june is adding shields and such. Definitely gonna make a Capt'n America type toon :) hehehe *as will 340000 other people. LOL

DC Universe

These are freaking cool too. They play a lil' movie about the toons after a big storyline fight. Here are a bunch of them on this ... some VERY cool stuff :)

oh yes...Wonder Woman would OWN She Hulk. The original Wonder Woman Comic was made to be the female equivalent to Superman. She Hulk is just strong...Wonder Woman has her God *Greek God* given powers and accessories. **In the Justice League Unlimited Series... the throw down between Wonder Woman and Superman was GREAT!!! *they were magically made to see each other as monsters and kept fighting till they saw their reflections...breaking the spell. (Wonder Woman was winning btw)** :) *ok sorry...putting my inner nerd back in the desk* hehehe

How bout that episode when Roulette brainwashed Wonder Woman and she took on Vixen, Hawkgirl, Black Canary, and Huntress? Those ladies were getting their asses kicked.

OK, let's be honest, was it The Avengers I saw or Iron Man 3?
Definitely the Avengers! I think they evened out the screen time for everyone pretty well. Banner going Hulk was saved for the finale, which was awesome!

I think they just let Stark be the "spokesman" because out of the whole team he's obviously the most well spoken. In my opinion. And his whit is definitely screen worthy!

I doubt that IM3 will have that many other superheroes in the film. Granted, Downey/IM is the most bankable, but the other heroes all had a share of screen time that made it a superhero group flick for sure. Black Widow's escape, and tricking Loki: Priceless.

Avengers Assembled, assuredly.
