Im sorry. I dont understand... Did you say you dont consider yourself a black man? OK....

I have met several "black" men from the Carribean, Central or South America or other areas who do not identify themselves as "African Americans". Many of them speak Spanish as their first lanquage. There dress, eating, music, are often "Latino", and they do not consider themselves to be members of the African American "community" or sub-culture.

I am not sure why this is surprizing, not all Americans with white skin identify themselves as being part of the same cultural group, either.

How many of us Black Men are of average or just above average size. Do you feel the pressure and shame of not 'measuring' up to the stereotype?

I have to accept the fact that I'm in that number of above the average size and still feel the pressures of being stereotyped as some super stud
with women beating down my door every night...I wish!
It's strange to me that some people (esp.men) think because you are well endowed that you are a sex machine...why:confused:
I've even had other guys say to me...man if I had a dick like yours I'd have any and every woman I could. So wrong!

I might also add, that what's we see and consider as average size for us black men, is above average to others.
The average black male does medically measure to be slicely larger then other races believe it or not.
Thx for asking brotha man:wink:

Chocolate Thunder - your post was interesting because it was a personal perspective. I can see that the perception could be a problem for an insecure young black guy (insecure because he is young and unsure of himself).

Nevertheless, black guys are better hung than white and Asian guys. I can tell you that from experience, and beause scientific sudies have shown it to be true. Specifically, blacks are about an inch bigger on average than whites, and over 1.5" bigger than Asians - which is a lot! You can't dismiss it as just an inch! For a population statistic that is an incredible difference. It seems to be sacriligeous to say it on this site where the "official" line is that race makes no difference. That view is crap.

I don't feel the pressure I just don't like the fact i get "used" for being black
i recently found out a friend of mine only slept with me to see if the rumours about black men were true. Which kind of hurt cause I actually liked her.

Oh I seriously doubt that black men are at least an inch larger than white men on average, or an inch and a half larger than asian men on average. I mean if you have some survey to back up that statement, then "maybe" I'd consider it. Every survey I've ever seen has shown the differences between all nationalities to be pretty insignificant. Having a few experiences or even more than a few, hardly qualifies in my view.

There is this guy, he's in his 40, sucks me off from time to time. He tellin me he been with several hundred guys, most of them black. I asked him about size of the guys he been with and he sais that he only met a few average sized ones(maybe 10%), some small ones(around 20%), and around 70% been in the size are 8" or more...
From what i read on this page earlier about I know this is like throwing petrol on fire...I'm only refering to what as an selfclaimed expert tells me.

The surveys say that black men are larger in a flaccid state, not erect. This is probably why the myth started.
The problem with the surveys is that they only surveyed about 20 black guys total.

I'm not saying Black guys are bigger, but I'm saying why does it matter.

The very fact that other people always try to compare Black guys to other guys is the most preposterous thing ever. What's the point? Men are men, right?

It is true, that, for the most part, Black guys don't grow up comparing to other guys. But everyone talks about, "Oh he's Black so he MUST be HUGE!" and then you look down and you're like "Is that huge? It just looks normal to me..." Huge is always a matter of perspective and if you look down and see something that looks the same for most of your life, you don't know if it's huge or not. So then one can easily feel like they are not big...small even. Or just not up to standard. With the feeling that EVERYBODY else, who is Black, is THIS much bigger than him and so he just can't compare and is not up to par for his race.

It's a kind of mental bondage, that most Black guys fall into.

I think every Black man should read this book called, "Hung: The Measure of a Black Man" or something like that. Saw an excerpt in Vibe magazine. From what I read it seemed pretty good, I wanna read it myself. It talks about a bunch of stuff that was mentioned in this thread. I wanna read the whole thing myself.

Big is more than 6.5 inches long and or more than 5.5 inches around. In my opinion. In he case of 'black men' the stereotype would be a shower as well, rather than a grower.

Now that throws me out of the window. My penum is an introvert!

Anyway, I ain't exceptional as far as size goes. But it's saddening that black men are only seen in a positive light as "cattle fodder" in any sense of the word.

I've remarked in past threads about my experiences with this "expectation" for black men to be hung - resulting in a rather quiet acceptance even when we are encountered (as if to say, "Well, you're supposed to be.") as opposed to a lot of fanfare surrounding a white counterpart perceived as hung. (And who in turn, as my experiences often went, didn't quite measure up to all the fuss, when all was said and done.)

I guess when these things happen (in more personal and less personal "venues") I find myself torn somewhere between feelings of jaded amusement and quiet indignation. I've even managed not to laugh in more than a few faces.

The stats i've seen reckon black guys to be maybe 1/4" bigger on average. I've had a few black girlfriends, including the British/Jamacan woman i've been seeing for the last three months. Her reaction to my cock was 'too big' which amazed me as, being fairly overweight, women usually only notice the size from the way it feels... Turns out her Jamacan ex husband was small (but also incredibly good in bed by all accounts).

It's funny, women never assume I'd have a big cock (or be any good in bed), i'm averagish height (5'11"), overweight with smallish hands and feet. A friend of mine is a 6'5" rower (not black, British/Check), covered in muscle, no fat, the biggest feet i've ever seen... Once saw my shoes next to his and felt very inadequate. One night recently, over a few beers, he told me that "girls always make certain assumptions about the size of me but by the time they find out they're wrong, it's too late", doesn't seem to cramp his style at all though. He seems to have had a string of very attractive and tall women ever since i've known him.

I know what you mean about the stereotype but my Jamacan girlfriend who describes my erect cock as 'pretty impressive' is fascinated by how small I am soft (under 3" usually) so there may be something in the black=shower thing.

I always hated this sterotype as I wouldn't have classed myself as being "big". For as long as a can remember people properly talking about sex at school (12+) people always commented on how I must have a huge dick because I'm black, I was half nicknamed "10 foot" by people because of it. I never felt that I was small (I'm about 6.5 x 5.25), but my fear was that any girl who wanted to have sex with me would be expecting something much bigger than I am not to mention the fact I don't have very high self esteem. A mates boyfriend at school was well known for being quite large (I think around 8.5 no idea of girth). The first time anyone saw me naked was during a drunk game at a mates house and I got some positive comments but I still felt I didn't "measure up" as people expected of me, particularly compounded by the black guys you see in porn. I was paranoid for so long that my girlfriend was disappointed in my size but recently we have talked about a lot of stuff like this and she told me that when she first saw me she was quite shocked as I was by far and away the biggest she had seen and in actual fact has been having problems with my size. It's only now that I really began to realise that being huge isn't the be all and end all and although I could be considered as "big" by some people, I could be considered smaller than others but either way, I'm more than happy with what I've got and so is my girlfriend

In my past, I had a couple of black boyfriends. They seemed to be longer when soft than some of my white boyfriends, but I really didn't notice a lot of difference when erect.
I think it is a stereotype for sure that girls like to whisper and giggle about when they are together. I (stupidly) had no idea that black males felt that pressure. I guess it makes sense that they would and I feel sad because of it. The two black boyfriends I had were great, but it had to do with a lot more than just their penis.

The stereotype is probably a hang-over from slavery (big cock = good breeding stock) and the portrait of black men as sexual savages.

Realise though, that mostly all men, whatever race, want a bigger cock. Focus on that, rather than getting hung up on the colour thing. Focus on being a slower better lover, and the size won't matter.

I feel like this concept is taboo but I'm going to type my theory anyway....In areas where there was slavery, people were forced to have sex the way dogs are bred for certain characteristics. The difference is, slaves were forced to have sex with other slaves that had features that would be good for back breaking labor.
If big cock meant good breeding stock, strong constitution or what have you... then maybe people were actually bred to have bigger cocks. This would only apply to blacks in the Americas, obviously. Actually only in the United States where slaveowners were heinous enough to force slaves on each other.
