Hello,

For a while now I have been wondering what is the healthy average gain in penis length from an erection.
Meaning, the difference between being totally erect and soft.

I wanted to know as I am not sure if my 1.3 inch gain is normal, and suspect some form of ed.

It would be very helpful for me and perhaps for most readers, if you could comment or post your gains (either in inches or in percentages) in order for most to check and compare.

For my part, I gain 2,3 inches (6 cm) or 60%. But it differs a lot for a man to another. Some are growers (small when soft, big when hard), some are showers (not a big difference between the different states).

It's really not about the number of inches difference or percentage to me. Flaccid size is completely irrelevant when it come to sex!
A website that does show percentages is calcSD - Penis Size Percentile Calculator

I don’t think the change in size has any relevance to ED. If you get hard enough for penetration and stay hard it doesn’t matter if you double in size like I do or stay the same size but get rigid

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the stats and comparisons.

So in general it seems that if you have average/small flaccid size, the gain should be decent (in percentage terms), while for the showers not so much.

littleguy2 - both the gain and quality for me are not that good. I will check this with a doc specialised in ed.

Always good to check it out. I am thankful to the doc that asked me how my erections were. I probably would not have brought it up since they weren’t great but not terrible. Best thing I ever did was start taking viagra. Improved my sex life greatly. Wife was happy that I stopped rushing through sex in an effort to not lose my erection.
