Felt like starting a new thread.

How many times have you clicked on a thread with recent activity, only to discover that the new response was to a question or comment that was posted years before.

This is not to call anyone out or anything...strictly for fun. Lord knows I've answered something or made a comment on an old thread and then realized after hitting post.

Here's one for today:

prescription for viagra or cialis?

Necro bumping threads. Whyyyyy?

I know, and it's the salty ones that are the worst. I mean, you're really that pissed off that you feel the need to scream in a thread that died before the global financial crisis??! Some people, eh.

Well, to be fair, whenever a newbie asks a question that's been asked before there is a bandwagon that's jumped on quickly bearing the banner "Use the Search feature!"

These guys got the message and want to contribute their $.02.

And I ain't hauling those threads back to the stacks. Y'all deal with them.

How appropriate. I thought it was about guys taking viagra or cialis. Mable spread'em. It's come back from the dead!

This thread is just for fun. I'm not dissing anyone for responding to an old one. Agree that search should be used rather than starting a new thread on an existing subject.

i agree that it's good to use search function and add to an existing thread if one exists, but i guess i stumble a little when that thread is 10 years old. i think at that point it's ok to start a new topic.

besides, given a lot of the repeat topics, it's hard to believe that there wouldn't be a newer thread on the same topic. that would be the one to bump, not the decade old one.

Someone told her to dig back into the archives for threads. I’d like to hunt that person down.
Yep. Nothing wrong with looking back for information, but to respond back to a 7 year old thread where the OP hasn't been online in 18 months, does seem silly.
