I think that spelling and grammar mistakes are important to a degree. It is easier to convey ideas and concepts when what you are trying to say is intelligible. If you want the content of your message to be understood it behooves you to do it with as much clarity as possible.

Personally, I'm an atrocious speller and it has never been a strong suit of mine. So I regularly spell-check what I write before I post it just because I don't want to come across as sounding moronic.

I mean no offence - If you honestly don't care about those things then I don't care about them while I'm reading them.

Talk normally please, its very difficult to read. Now can you ask the warden if you can have a little visit to the photographer without your striped jumpsuit on?

Seriously, post some more pics in your gallery hun.

Is this because people have bad spelling or bad grammar or is it because they have a different way of 'speaking' to what you are used to. In spoken language people have different ways of speaking which makes it hard to understand - so I suppose written communications would have the same problem. For instance some people will insist on writing in pink:biggrin1:

I would just like to point out that you won't get a degree if your spelling is bad, especially if the degree is in English. Nor will a spell checker help for words spelt correctly but used in the wrong context, like; their and there. Finally, my grammer used to be bad, but then she died and everything is ok now.

I'd say all three of the above. I do try to be tolerant, I'm not the best speller but I know some of these people could do better. And I like pink!

I tend not to post pictures of my face on the internet (my facebook profile has a torso shot :biggrin1: ) because it is not very pretty. Im not sure if I want to put my willy pictures in there again. I dont think I have got a picture of my bum, maybe I should put a picture of my bottom in my profile lol

Interesting....Clearly the word degree has been misunderstood (it is impossible to tell if it was deliberate) but it goes to show that even when you write with good spelling and grammar posts are open to misinterpretation
