Yup. It's been denied...can't blame republicans because there were 94 dems who voted against it. O, ya, did anyone else hear that automakers were given $50 billion yesterday? WTF is going on in Washington? Fellow citizens, democrats especially, need I remind you why we have a right to bear arms? It's time for a revolution. :unitedstates::biggrin1:

There were a lot more republicans than democrats who voted against it...but if even 1/2 of those dems who voted nay whould have voted yay it would have passed...we need this bill to pass man. I'd rather pay $2300 now as opposed to not being able to get loans for the next 5 years

Agreed. This is the result of enough politicians being more concerned about re-election than ensuring the financial security of the nation. In other words, they are committing the same sins of the people who got us into this mess (only being concerned about short term gains at the expense of long term success).

Ok...but don't come crying when your bank fails, and you have no 401k, SS, insurance, credit, or Medicare...I am PISSED about bailing out autocompanies, but I can accept bailing out our financial system because EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in America relies on or will rely on credit for the majority of their lives. Without credit, businesses won't grow, new businesses can't be created, unemployment will soar, you can't get a house, a new car, or education...but I guess that's not a bad thing:rolleyes:

you know what..... i bought a house 4 years ago......i actually read and calculated what i was responsible for. DOES ANYBODY ELSE OUT THERE DO THE SAME??? if i knew this, i would haVE BOUGHT 3 more properties and pushed what i owe to you all....LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING.....Im an idiot for siting down, figuring out what i will owe in terms of mortgage & property taxes...(not figuring in property taxes, is what i think is to blames for a HUGE part of this mortgage shit because mine have gone up 200% in 8 years in NY) and making a good decision on that....now im punished for ignorant or illegal idiots....thanks for ruining my and my daughters life you government tit suckers., you will have your way.....but to only be slaves again.,..be it by this bag of shit or retirement. enjoy youre pile of shit when im dead.

Isn't anyone else sick and tired of all the political (both sides) grandstanding and hoping someone back home sees them on TV?

Now, Republicans are blaming Pelosi's speech! What a crock of shit. they voted 2 to 1 against the bill! Since when do they listen to Pelosi?

Tons of Dems and Pubs both voted against this bill.

Is it a bailout of wall street or is it a bailout of banks? It is the banks that are crippled due to they took advantage of deregulation and granted bad mortgage loans.

I'm sick of it too due to I was recently laid off and I have paid my mortgage every month but I'll be damned if I want to see my entire savings disappear due to this outrageous political pandering and continue watchng my home value go to hell.

I'm sick of Congress and sick of Washington. The whole fucking bunch of them are as useless as tits on a boar!

Face it folks, corporate socialism is alive and well in the U.S. and why they bail aout AIG and bailout Freddy and Fannie and bailout the auto industry and then say no to banks that is what it truly needed, shows the priorities are all fucked up.

I see Smith and Wesson stock is up 1.37% today. Someone must think that a depressed economy causes an increased crime rate. Well, duh! But do you hear congress talking about that? Nope, they still are not in touch with the people.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.:frown1:

depending on where you stand then on corporate socialism in the future.....will determine how you vote. The dems have been silent for 4 years. I dont trust the govt to shovel my dogs shit. I do know whos got down and dirty to pound out what they thought was even.

If the govt wasnt in to investments of todays corporations, this would not have happened. our founding fathers are screaming from the grave and its drowned out by bullshitters looking to get something for nothing. This is the end. this is our final stand.

Think of the future, plan for after the election when the truth of how bad the situation is will be revealed. They'd never let us know how extreme it is right before an election so it's going to get MUCH worse come November.

Are you drunk? I fully agree the people that are at fault are the people we are bailing out, and it's bullshit to the nth degree. I don't think we should bail them out, but we have to. It's a shitty situation, but it's either that, or total economic meltdown.

The bill is deeply flawed and perhaps leads us down a slippery slope, but if we allow the domino effect of companies of this size to fail (notwithstanding the reasons why we got here in the first place) we can not even begin to imagine the pain we are going to feel, much less how long it's going to take to recover. Not saying we don't need to go back to the drawing board, but we pretty much need to stay there until we come up with the right answer. It's all well and good to yell at Congress for bailing out the banks now...wait until you're shrieking at them because they didn't.

And the stock market has dropped 724 points so far in reaction, larger than the day the market reopened after 9/11 and the largest in history if it's maintained.

I'd rather not have government confiscate 50% of my pay every week to give to defunct didlo-makers like you to produce silicone members and battle it out over who wants your product than to have it become something as important as wheat or some crap. Id rather pay nothing now and use my homes equity for anything i need. if you dont have any assets, sorry. im not responsible for you... only my family and my taxes.
