For the most part, all it does is save me money on combs. But seriously tho, the aesthetic portion of it does get to me sometimes since I used to have a gorgeous head of hair, and miss it too much. So, I'm currently looking into all phases of hair restoration. I just have to figure out how to pay for it all.

No, just a dislike of out-ing people and publicly humiliating them.
Again, my condolences that a little satire ruined your month. Please ignore me in the future. You must have had wonderful things to say in your book report on "A Modest Proposal."

The one part of me that seems relatively immune to the erosions of aging is my hair ... still very dark and thick.
To tell a story I think I've told elsewhere on this board: I was recently at a dinner party when a young person leaned across the table and asked me, 'How old are you, if I may ask?" And I gave my age. And he said, "Hey, you seem way younger than that."
I was flattered and thought I would fish for a few more compliments.
So I said, "Oh, it's just my hair," thinking he would look me over and notice some other reasons.
He stared for five seconds, and then he said: "You're right ... it's just your hair."
I gave a hoot.
Seriously, though, while I'm pleased that I've kept my hair (I seem to take after my maternal grandfather, who had a full head of black hair when he died, at 80), other members of my family have had early onset of hair loss, and it's something I don't think anyone, including me, takes any notice of.
And frankly, a bald head somehow connotes virility to me.
So go figure.

I did. It was a wonderful piece of humor, used to expose the folly of others. When you manage a little satire in your post, I'll be just as happy shower it with praise.

Oooh. Did you see what I did there?

I'm sorry, I assumed it was but a request! I had not realised that is was an order! I see now the error of my ways and humbly prostrate myself at your feet in anticipation of your divine wrath, not daring to even hope that you might consider forgiving one so unworthy as I.

Oh gosh, I did it again

It doesn't matter what's on your lid if you have comfort and confidence with what you have. To me, that's sexy.

I always had very thick hair. The salt and pepper thing started while I was in University in my early 20s. What was a prematurely grey novelty is pretty normal now that I'm older. I'd like to think I have much more to offer than how much hair is on my head.

Here's one, guys, are you bald or loosing your hair? Do you feel this makes you less of a man in comparison to guys with a full mane? Have you ever tried any of the newfangeled regrowth or surgery options to reclain your hair or would you? Does it matter?

I have a friend who's going bald, so he just shaved his head..
it's a good look for him, and when I rub his largest erogenous zone, ie: the
skin on his head and the stubble, he get's really turned on!!!

Of course he's straight and I'm not and he knows it, so perhaps that's part of it too, but the response of his snake is fascinating to observe...
the snake begins to dance and grow and get hard, It's a lot of fun, I'll
just go over and rub his head and I feel like a snake charmer, and I sit back and watch his snake rise to the occasion, works every time, it's a hoot!

I think he likes it, the first time I did it I asked if I could rub it to feel it and he said sure go ahead...what I didn't know was what a turn on it was for him! Since then, I've rubbed him just for fun, and Bingo...
his massive boner goes up, up and up!!! He's definately a grower!
and on a short thin dude it really is very noticeable expecially when it
grows up to near his chin! Mind you he must have a lot of testosterone,
he's hard most of the time anyway, and get's hard at the drop of a hat...

I find balding men quite attractive now!!!

wow..I almost forgot what I wanted to say after reading reallyhot's entry. all I can say is maybe your buddy's not as straight as you think! He seems to make sure you know about his dick and sex drive..and you say his boner is massive. happy snake charming!
I was going to say that I had a very full thick head of hair until I was about 20..then it started slowly thinning at first, then thinning faster. now I am very thin on top and keep it very short, but not shaved...yet. I do think I will shave it completly soon. as for feeling less a man..actually fell just the opposite for some strange reason. maybe it IS the abundant body hair that corresponded to the losing of head hair. or maybe it's just another male rite of passage. who knows? but I will say this. if there are people out there that are shallow enough to think that head hair makes a man, I am shallow enough to haul out my big fat mancock and ask them what THAT makes me! lol

I'm going bald. I stopped doing the comb over hide the cue ball thing. My hair is thining so I just cut it really really short. Seems to be the trend these days. If anything I think I look quite fetching. Ruff Ruff.

I like the look of bald guys with goatees anyways.

I too was going bald rapidly about six years ago and then I met my current friend. He told me to
- quit eating refined sugar, refined salt and other refined foods,
- start eating a LOT of fresh green salads and
- drink lots of water daily.

Within six months I had all my hair back!!

A friend who was going bald as fast as I was at the time and loved having the company - it made him feel better to see my hair going as fast as his - was very upset with me when mine grew back but he didnt have the will to change his lifestyle and he is now very bald.

It is amazing how many men assume they are going to go bald and that that is 'normal'. From my own experience I have come to realise its the lifestyle you lead and the food you eat that are the major contributors to this. People say its genetic and resign themselves to it but they forget that the genes only specify how you might go bald given the required circumstances - not that you will go bald...

I expect a clamour of denial from many around this... I get a fair amount whenever I relate this story.

At age 51 I still have all my hair, and quite frankly my diet is crap.

Your genes do not just pecify what *might* happen. If you have a genetic tendency to go bald, then you are going bald. Tough titties.
There is no "the genes on your y chromosome *might* express substance Y and make you male, but it depends on your diet and lifestyle in the womb", and there is no "genes don't give you cystic fibrosis, you just have a tendency and then it's your own fault for smoking or some shit". Please buy a clue about a subject before presuming to lecture others about it.:biggrin1:

I used to have a full head of very long hair which I used to spend a fortune on looking after, but knowing that all the males on both sides of my family were balding, including my older brother, I pretty much expected it was going to happen to me.

I started going grey at 18 and thining at about 26-7. Now I wet shave my head along with my face every morning in the shower and I love it! I love the look and feel of it, and I save a fortune on hair products and going to the barber!

I still have about 80% of my hair at 35 and most of it is grey/white but even if I could grow a head of thick dark hair, I prefer the shaven look and I've only ever had positive comments about it.

Let's face it. I'll never have that windswept look or ever have a "bad hair day" again:smile:

At first, yes, it kind of sucked.
It started to fall out when I was around 21 or 22.

I just cut it short now like Bruce Willis. I call it the John McClane cut

Now my temples are totaly graying.

Funny thing, the ladys think my hair looks super sexy now.

Go figure, all this time I spent worring about my hair falling out,
and it really doesn't matter.

Good luck
and dont worry

I lost my hair 6 times to illness. It never did come back as thick as it had been before. It's starting to thin some but I still have more than a lot of guys my age. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wear a ball cap. I think a fuzzy guy with short hair looks sexy. I'm just not fuzzy. waaaaaa
