its called the city of neighborhoods, with over 100 distinct districts and areas... and they're all ghetto.

Uh no,,, it isnt. It doesnt pretend to be anything other than working class but there are some wonderful neighborhoods tucked in there. Roland Park, Windsor Hills... You just have to know where to look....

Catonsville is NOT Baltimore. It's outside the city limits. Some wonderful neighborhoods exist in Baltimore: Roland Park, Guilford, the university area [around JHU.], Mount Washington, Lake Avenue.

Baron has a hot cock!
He does and there is an interesting progression towards a leaner fitter Baron in his photos from 2007 to 2009. Looking good man.

edit--- on topic. yeah I had a great time in Baltimore at the Tall Ships celebration in 1976. It was a fun place then, but I have not been back so I dunno now.

I wouldn't call Baltimore boring: I would call it oppressively dull and drab. I lived in Charles Village for a few months twenty years ago. I'm glad to have acquaintance with the setting of Anne Tyler's novels, but I wouldn't like to live there again.

As someone else has said, Catonsville is not Baltimore.

Second, I tend to check out the cities in which I will be staying to understand the geography and interesting things to do.

The gayborhood in upper downtown can be fun, as can many other things.

Baron, did you get scabies or some shit while you were there? I heard that was pretty common.

I'd love to see Baltimore, for some reason. I hear a lot of bad things, and have seen a lot of John Waters flicks, but it still somewhat intrigues me.

By all means, visit the place. It has a very distinctive character. Just don't get stuck living there.

Tsk, Tsk.
Sleepy Catonsville is not Baltimore.
Baltimore is an unpretentious working city with tremendous history.
There are a lot of great things to do in Baltimore.
And your characterization of Baltimore as "ghetto" sounds a bit racist.

Just a few months ago, on a quiet Sunday morning, I visited Edgar Allen Poe.
Can't do that in Arkansas.

Maybe if you cannot find amusement in Baltimore it is not the city is boring but that ...
