...as for Obama, he only has himself to blame for his failures. That Bush excuse crap is getting boring.

Obviously, Obama's successes are also due to Bush. Some irrepressible apostles have traced Obama's success way back to the Reagan Administration.

Don't you just hate it that the US economy is getting back on track under the Obama Administration. Why did it have to be Obama!!! :rippedhand:

What Obama "successes"?

The alphabet soup of scandals?
The Russia "reset"?
The doubled 20 trillion national debt by the time BHO finally exits?
The lowest labor participation rate since Carter?
The ISIS JV team handling?
The Assad Red Line?
Iran nuclear containment?
China?
Israel?
The Obamacare debacle?
etc.
etc.
etc.

^ The so called "scandals" are only in the minds of his opponents. Putin is the cause of the "Russian reset" (though might as well blame Obama for that too).

Obama increased the debt above that of Bush's by far less than Bush did above Clinton's, besides which, things COST more now.

CONGRESS opposed action against Assad. Don't whine about it NOW.

And what about China and Israel?

BTW Obamacare is doing just fine, thankyverymuch, which is why even REPUBLICANS when asked, don't want the law repealed.

So all of that is the usual spin and right winged b.s. without any substantiating references.

Which strikes me as rather ODD, considering all the DOCUMENTED Obama successes we've presented at the very START of the thread. Guess u didn't see them.

Either that or they don't count.

I know how desperate your radical fringe types must be in these sobering times for the BHO regime and for the statist-collectivist agenda at large...but surely the KoolAid must taste putrid by now.

Good luck.

^ This, coming from the same guy who once argued preexisting medical conditions could be taken care of without Obamacare.

Riiiiiiiight.

As for my earlier prediction that a GOP controlled Congress might come back to bite 'em in the azz come 2016, here's another take on that scenario:

A GOP Senate - Obama's Only Path To Greatness*|*Richard Greener

"A Congress under the control of the current Republican Party would very likely, if not certainly, make every one of the following 7 basic, fundamental changes in American public life:

1. Repeal The Affordable Care Act in its entirety.

2. Pass a Voting Rights bill requiring 2 types of federal IDs to both register to vote and to cast a ballot on Election Day.

3. Turn programs such as Medicaid, Unemployment Insurance and Food Stamps into block grants to states instead of direct aid to individuals.

4. End or severely limit federal regulation and oversight of fracking and other energy development on both federal and private lands.

5. Prohibit all federal funding to any public health provider that includes any birth control or abortion services, in any form, in any aspect of its operation.

6. Privatize Medicare for both future and current recipients.

7. Privatize Social Security while reducing benefits, such as the elimination of cost-of-living increases, for all recipients including current ones."

He neglected to mention that they'd almost CERTAINLY raise the retirement age to 70, will eliminate environmental regulation and clean energy initiatives, will kill, roll back, oppose, or repeal immigration reform initiatives, equal pay for women initiatives, the va benefits acts, fair minimum wage initiatives, and will seek new laws or seek to influence court decisions on everything from presidential powers of executive orders to gay marriage and school curriculum.

And THAT'S just for STARTERS.

Fuzzy, I don't believe in the fuzzy math that is being spewed. No pun intended.

Nobody is arguing that the reported unemployment rate is dropping, but is that lowering rate really representing people finding jobs? Or is it representing the unemployed giving up?

If the labor participation rate is falling, then it is safe to assume that it is the latter and not the former, and I do not believe that is good for the economy. It signifies that simply there isn't enough work to go around, and that those who have work will be paying a greater percentage of their salary in taxes to keep the government coffers being filled.

I believe the economy will be better when a greater percentage of the population is working.

All right. Let's stick to that list for now. I do care for your health, since you seem like a friendly guy.

I am also open to trading and negotiating you know...

Say, we could use e-Verify and the civic literacy test for voting in lieu of 2 forms of IDs...and Obamacare would only be repealed when an alternative plan has been fully formulated...in exchange for a flat tax.

Republicans also plan on enacting the following:

raise the retirement age for Social Security to 70

scale back or ELIMINATE environmental regulation and clean energy initiatives

oppose immigration reform initiatives

BLOCK or OPPOSE EQUAL PAY for women legislation,

repeal or scale back veteran benefits

BLOCK and OPPOSE minimum wage increases

BLOCK various forms of unemployment assistance including extended benefits

seek to influence court decisions on presidential powers of executive orders

OPPOSE or BLOCK marriage rights for gays

INFLUENCE or LEGISLATE school curriculum in business, science, history, economics, etc. based on conservative ideologies

They did it on House of Cards too...We should have done it a long time ago. 70 is the new 60.

scale back or ELIMINATE environmental regulation and clean energy initiatives

Did you know that "clean" energy kills 10,000s of birds every year?

oppose immigration reform initiatives

I think they only want good immigration initiatives

BLOCK or OPPOSE EQUAL PAY for women legislation,

When can we finally drop the phony War On Women? It's no longer funny.

repeal or scale back veteran benefits

Huh?

BLOCK and OPPOSE minimum wage increases

The minimum wage is zero, when you're out of a job.

BLOCK various forms of unemployment assistance including extended benefits

This is already in place on a state-by-state basis as local conditions dictate.

seek to influence court decisions on presidential powers of executive orders

Pot? Kettle?

OPPOSE or BLOCK marriage rights for gays

As Clinton and Obama did? As 70% of black voters in the largest county of the largest state did?

INFLUENCE or LEGISLATE school curriculum in business, science, history, economics, etc. based on conservative ideologies

Hilarious! It would take 250 years to swing the pendulum away from the radical left ideology it is wallowing in today.

I think you should explain to some of our posters from other countries exactly how the U.S. is wallowing in radical left ideology. That would make for some interesting exchanges.

The new AP (Advanced Placement) curriculum is a case in point...Fortunately, it doesn't affect Organic Chemistry or Corporate Finance.

And of course you only get a one sentence reply. Cause thats what explainings all about. One word or sentence answers. Instead of details. Cause who needs detailed anything. How needs facts of their extremely specific plan/proposal/idea/reply/political come back. Yup. Posterboy for the party.

Edit: Ok i'll give you a break. I know you really didn't think to explain fully but thats kind of the overall point.

Let's all ignore the larger percentage of white voters who helped pass Prop 8 so that Dom can let it go:wink:

Hell no they didn't...

But as a peace offering, I am linking to a charitable view of this blatant (if inconvenient) bigotry...from the pious Huffin&Puffin...

It's the education stupid!

Proposition 8 and Race*|*Wayne Besen
Let's see...blacks make up less than 10% of the vote in Cali so it seems only logical that if anything were to pass with a minimum of 51% it would take 41% of some other race. Now if only 70% of blacks voted as you say that means more of other races was needed. No matter how you seek to blame blacks your people were a part of it too.

I think people with a wider, more informed perspective are generally more accepting of different lifestyles. Formal education, particularly at the college level, is certainly a part of that broadened perspective--both in the classroom and in interactions on campus.

Would you maintain that homophobes are typically among our more educated citizens?
