Base of shaft looks smaller than rest of penis

You know when you jerk too much your dick gets smaller at the base of the shaft when in a semi or flaccid state. I used to think I was causing damage to the shaft from jerking too much. Anyone else notice this?

It's not getting smaller at the base. The rest of your penis is just swelling a bit because you're rubbing it so much.

I don't have that in a semi or flaccid state, but whenever I'm hard no matter how much I'm jacking off the base is always the skinniest. But I love have a super thick point 3/4 up the shaft.
