I'm of two minds about Brigitte Bardot.
On the one hand, she interpreted (won't say sang, precisely) many songs marvelously (many written by Gainbourg himself), and she made at least one decent movie before her career spiraled into utter cliché, where it stayed until she retired. I am obviously a camp/cult fan of her "music". And it must be said, that she set a standard for feminine sensuality and beauty for decades.
On the other hand, she's a neo-fascist cunt.
I find it really funny that she thinks she can control a Hollywood production from her estate in St Tropez.
FWIW, she's known universally in France as BB, which is pronounced precisely like the French word for "baby" (bay-bay). She's somewhere between an open source of amusement and a cultural embarrassment.
ETA: I used to love making unlistenable mix tapes/burning CDs of BB and The Ramones one after the other each in turn.
