BBC Top Gear Fans?

Hey there,

any Top Gear fans out there? What's your favorite episode/challenge? Also, I was just wondering if anybody knows about this? In the Series 16 "taster" there seem to be a few clips of Richard driving the Knight XV (the HUGE Canadian truck). However, in the aired episodes, there was no such segment. I was wondering if anybody knows about this or knows where I might be able to see it?

Love it! But I tend to always lag behind. BBC Canada plays older episodes and when I hear about a really good travel challenge I try to hunt it down. Fave so far is the Vietnam trip; great bonding experience for the lads and it was nice seeing Jeremy that far outside his comfort zone. Definitely an Epic Trip

I think my favorite trip has to be the Bolivia Challenge or maybe the 3 Wise Men Challenge.

All those specials & challenges are blinding.

The one that upset most of the environmental supporters was driving a car to the North Pole - after they were told there wouldn't be enough ice!

Clarkson & May also got in trouble for drink driving - though they claimed - "we were actually in International waters!".

One of the best pure petrolhead ones is when JC goes around the Nurburgring in a Jag S-Type diesel, trying to break 10 minutes, & gets instructed by the bodacious Sabine Schmitz (from about 2.35), & finally has his balls handed to him on a plate (c 16.15).

I haven't watched Top Gear lately, but it is a cool show. I am not sure where you would find the episode about the Canadian truck, other than the sites already mentioned, or possibly Youtube or Hulu.

My favorite Top Gear episode is about the attempted destruction of a Toyota 4x4 truck. They drove it through everything imaginable, wrecked it, hit it with a wrecking ball, submerged it, and burned it - and it still would crank and drive. This test was conducted to reinforce the claim that they are indestructible trucks.

I have had a Toyota 4x4 almost like the one in the show for years. I keep mine as a spare vehicle, and have never tried to destroy it, but it is a damn good truck.

I'm fairly sure that that hasn't been screened yet, & yes it was in the trailer (crashing through a wall) - it'll probably pop up later in the year in the next series. I hope that they show it, & they just didn't cut it down to this in Season 16, Episode 6.

Has to be the many challenge specials they do, like the Bolivia (Taking Viagra several thousand feet above sea level!) and Vietnam ones (Clarkson on a moped is funny!).

I found it on the net: YouTube - Killing a Toyota part 1 - Top Gear - BBC - that's the one I had seen.

This thread renews my interest in the show, and I'll have to check out some of the episodes that have been mentioned.
