There is a condition suffered by about 1 in 7 women called Polycystic Ovary Syndrom (PCOS), symptoms of which include; infertility, aching joints, weight gain and hirsuteness. In other words; hair grows where it is not supposed to! There are many suggestions as to a solution for the hair bit; shaving, pills, lazer surgery etc. but either they don't work or are too expensive for some women. Very little research has been undertaken, even though this condition was discovered in 1916, probably because it's not exciting enough to attract research grants but I wish someone would bother - many women suffer in silence and many do not even know they have it.

Rant over!! Sorry but the flipant remarks were pissing me off!
