It wouldn’t matter if I did or didn’t since I get up three times (on average) each night anyway.
The only thing that seems to make a difference is the amount of tea I drink. Water or pop do not seem to bother me as much.

I usually have to get up a couple of times during the night but I think that's related to a copiius fluid intake, much of it during the evening.

If you’re a heavy sleeper and don’t empty your bladder before bed, don’t be surprised to have those dreams where you visit the bathroom. And, yes, tea, wine, and certain other drinks too late in the evening won’t help, either.

Mine is due to an enlarged prostate. I’m currently taking three medications to help me not get up so much.
