Hi guys! I'm pretty new to LPSG and I have a pressing question. When you're in a new relationship, everything is fun, sex is off the chain, everything is just awesome. Now, before I get serious with my guy... How do I ask him if he's straight without offending him. Straight as in 100% hetero and not like "sometimes I like to suck a guy" I have no problems with gays guys or bisexuals or anything like that but I would like a guy that I'm seriously interested in and want to be with to be straight.

I know some guys get really offended when you ask them about their orientation, but these days you have to be sure. And even if he says yes, how do you know he's telling the truth? Sometimes people lie about the simplest things so...

Any ideas/comments/suggestions...

Why not say something like "I have had experiences with other guys like you that are super straight and masculine that turn out to be bisexual, so can we clear the air about this? I want my man to only have eyes for me!"

why don't you ask him if he's faithful and monogamous, isn't that what you really want? or do you just want a straight guy? there's a world of difference between those two things.

why don't you have him followed by a private detective. do a background check. hopefully he will make sure that you're 100% straight as well (no going to the bathroom together with your "girlfriends", god only knows what mischief you girls are up to in there, something kinky no doubt) unfortunately, there is no background check for closed minded idiots. there are just too many to count.

"the tighter the leash the more the dog wants to run away", that's a good ole southern expression for ya'll southern belles that like big dicks.

Look on his belt and check for notches. If he has many notches on his belt he is definietely a player!

I would not be surprised if a simple..Question
-ever been with other guys?
would cover it.
Leaves it open fr his response to be
either 'you mean just with buddys hanging out or of a sexual nature?
Dont think that would give him cause to be offended.
Best for whatever
Im sure you will work it out OK
-onus on you to determine if he lie,s or not'

keeping in mind the OP is 21 years old,... aren't you a little young to be "getting serious" with anyone, 100% straight or not?

Chances are if he's straight he's straight. Really, there are very few bisexual men out there, and a tiny proportion of gay men. The most comprehensive stats I saw from the US several years ago had 3% of men identifying themselves as gay and 6% identifying themselves as bisexual, which ties in with the Kinsey survey of 9% in total. This means 91% of men are straight.

That is perfect, that is exactly what she should say!

I bet another 15% lied and said they were straight. :yup:

Okay, but that study is 60 years old and was done on a limited number of men. Even if 91% of men are straight that does not make them dateable or serious relationship material.
