Being a Friends Caretaker

WEEK ONE:
So today is the last day with HomeHealth. I've been "shadowing" them all week and he's been a trooper. We laugh and joke about it sometimes. Tonight will be the first time that i'll have to bath him without HH.
Overall so far... I don't think this will tarnish our friendship but make it stronger.

1 -- Even though he's young, healing takes a lot out of your body. Don't be surprised if that (along with maybe a bit of depression or just "the blues") kills his sex drive in the beginning. I imagine the sex drive will come up in the 2nd half of the convalesance.

real friends don't get a kick outof jerking of a buddy who's injuries do not allow him to do it himself. he'll live without the masturbation or figure it out somehow himself. this sounds more about your fantasy then good will.

You know, I read just the first page of this thread and the question was asked by the OP about what to do downstairs... nothing. Do absolutely nothing.
He's not there to occasionally get off when he gets hard, he's there because he has no place to recuperate from this accident. The fact that you offered to take 'CARE' of him show a level of character seldom found in our society today and should be commended. If he is straight, he's not going to want you to take care of his sexual needs and the fact that you are asking makes me wonder about your profile status and that being said just give him the best care you are able. Watch the nurses and ask questions. When it comes time to wash Mr Happy and his surrounding kingdom, just do it. He may pop a woody but he's not going to want you to finish him off.
Again, you should be commended for opening your home to your friend. I hope he recovers quick.

So Sorry for the delay.... We've been having a good week this week.
His pain has let up and is almost nonexistent so his moral has lifted a lot. Not only has his moral lifted but three days ago the man downstairs came back from vacation. It happened while in the shower, bathing him and while washing downstairs he got a chub... no biggy... He laughed about the blueballing he was going through and I just played it off and laughed with him. By the time I had him dried off... the chub was gone.
This morning I went to wake him... and of course he was standing at attention... fully hard. As I turned to close the door back he asked if I would turn on the TV to "something good" and if it was OK and that he wasn't asking too much. So i did... then left him be. He shot off freehanded. After a while, I came back. Cleaned him up and went on like nothing has ever happened.
Being that we have been friends for years, seen what each other got down there, I know that a fellow man has needs and that its only going to get worse. Thankfully the hand raps come off in two weeks and he can "hand"le things himself...

EVSN, I think you are an amazing friend and man. Your buddy is so lucky to have you. The fact that you offered to take care of him at home will speed his recovery. You are giving him much better care than any facility could, plus you are lessining the chance of him getting an infection which runs rampant in rehab facilities. Plus the fact that he is your friend and will receive much more TLC from you than from someone getting paid minium wage and has ten other patients waiting. You have earned your gold star and your kindness will be repaid to you ten fold over your lifetime. I'm home recuperating from a hip replacement, and I only wish I had a friend like you to help me!
