I've got a couple of things to say.

First, M.Rouge, & Micky Lee should be reinstated. I think permanent bans are just ridiculous, & it would be nice to have Dolfette back.

Secondly, I think all this talk about misogyny & hate speech is a little disingenous. All three of the above continually made personal attacks on anyone they didn't like or disagreed with, though sometimes it was very funny.

D & M would corner someone, & then sometimes out of the blue, the ninja Mickey Lee would appear from nowhere & deliver the coup de grace.

I thought they had every right to, but sometimes the attacks on newbies - especially women, were truly painful. I think Dolfette never got banned because she was quite witty, & a mistress of one liners, or even one worders.

We aren't talking about shrinking violets here. They were fiesty, intelligent women, just as guilty of letting their own personal views discriminate against others opinions - no matter their validity -just like most of us.

As a previous poster has said - you don't have to like what's said in on LPSG. You have no right not to be offended. If I see something I don't like, I just normally ignore it.

As for the race/gay issues - i think that you have a point - but there has been plenty of misandry on this site too, & I personally think that anyone who spuriously claims you are a racist or homophobic - normally as an ad hominen attack - should suffer the same consequences as those who are.

Each person has different tolerance levels to subject matter - there is no balance - & in a forum, as has been said on this thread, when people have unnacceptable views, they can be challenged.

That's the way it works. Engage in debate, & discuss ideas. All of us have certain views or behaviours that many would find objectionable, but as long as threats of violence & intimidation not involved - so what?

We might not like everything in the world of LPSG, but we can sure as hell ignore a lot of it.

Bring them back soon, they were the heart of this forum.

Dolfette's anger is against LPSG, not against each individual asshole.

Dolfette is upset that LPSG doesn't tolerate bigotry against gays or racial minorities, but it tolerates misogyny without doing anything about it. Bigoted statements and behavior towards women are ignored whereas if the similar bigoted statements were made against gay people or black people, that member would be warned or banned.

She's fed up with it, as are a lot of the women here.

You have stated that a thread you know to be misogynistic should not be considered so unacceptable that someone should leave. That is precisely why I say you are part of the problem. You do not understand. The women here seem to agree in our private group chats that homophobia and racism garner far more criticism than misogyny, and we do not approve. We do not think that simply because we are in a location which celebrates the male form that we need to be subjected to hatred and bigotry, or that when we are, that bigotry and hatred should be ignored or downplayed as it ALWAYS is. Many of us are of the same mindset, but simply have not yet been completely fed up. What we have done instead is remove our galleries (I replaced mine with pastries) and change our names to ones which are less feminine/less attractive. We have removed our genders and sexual orientations from our profiles. We have posted publicly some of the ridiculous private messages we get. We have stated our cases over and over. But many of the male members here do not understand.

Little by little, we'll all be banned or quit, and all who will be left will be the sycophantic men-pretending-to-be-women. We hope the misogynists of this site and their enablers/ignorers will enjoy that.

Regarding the private messages that you get, you arent alone. A lot of guys get similar messages from other guys (and in some more rare circumstances, from women too). If you have pictures or videos of yourself it should be expected that people might send you messages based on those pictures or videos. If you cant handle the messages, you take the steps you already suggested (changing name/removing pictures etc).

I dont want to be mean or anything, it is just that I really dislike the whole "victim" mentality that goes around on the internet as of late. The internet is a different world where people are more direct and hide significantly less, it is how it is.

There have been organized efforts in ousting misogyny on here, by mass reporting of people and posts which are disgusting. Lost cause on a porn site, which is why I don't fight it too hard on here myself.

We do not just get private messages from people who want to hit on us. That's easy to ignore. I got messages saying that women do not belong here, and the language was definitely threatening and hateful. I got some of those publicly too. So I deleted my gallery, and started a new account. At the time, there was no way for members to change their names. Additionally, many of the messages women get here are not merely making passes, but come from men who feel ENTITLED to our sexual attention just because we participate here. What one expects, and what one is willing to tolerate isn't always the same.

As I said before, a community decides how it will function. The women have decided. On this board, bigotry is not tolerated. The moderators can ALWAYS be counted on to curb racism and homophobia. They are not always as dependable when it comes to misogyny.

Like I said. Little by little, the most prolific participants will be banned, or leave. And if you can't understand why, I certainly don't expect to be able to teach you.
