I think it has to do with the actual movie-making process. While we see a continuous flow between foreplay and penetration, while filming there will be a "cut" while the top gets his condom on and the bottom gets lubed. Other than that, your point that most Bel Ami boys aren't gay is true. For them, I wouldn't go so far as to say they're not turned on.
