Respect your friend's choice. Friends are tougher to come by and far more valuable than a quick fuck, no matter how much you may lust for him.

A true friendship is based on equality and is mutually beneficial and both friends are having their needs met. It's blatantly obvious in friendships where there is unrequited desire and attraction there's a power imbalance and that's psychologically unhealthy.
In my view, it's immoral (and usually a sign of narcissism) for anyone to be friends with someone they're not interested in who's lusting after them, it's just selfish and emotionally cruel.
