Shaving as you would any other part of your body works well. Hair conditioner works well for this. Avoid regular aftershave as the alcohol will get absorbed into the scrotum and sting like heck.

I have also taken a pair of tweezers and plucked one by one some small stray hairs and that works well as the hair doesn't grow back right away and there is no stubble. It doesn't hurt if you have the proper tweezers and the proper technique. Any woman that tweezes her eyebrows etc. can show you how.

I would highly recommend shaving with a Gillette Mach 3 or any of the Gillette multi-blade lines with shaving cream as you would if you were shaving your face. I've been shaving since high school (now late 20's) and haven't had any nicks or cuts that I can remember. More cuts from shaving my face than down there, actually.

As long as you do it slowly and do NOT shave across (duh!) you will be fine. If your pubes are long like corn fields just trim it down first. It is extremely comfortable to have smooth balls and girls really do appreciate when you are cleanly groomed. Shows that you are considerate and that matters! Have had a girl fall to sleep with my balls in her mouth which was pretty interesting.

Also, I have been shaving the area around my asshole too. Wonder if anyone does that? I would lift my leg up and shave slowly out--never had a problem at all. It feels great and definitely cuts down the sweaty butt effect when you're nervous or just a long day or after a gym workout. I shave about once every 3 weeks. Sometimes there is minor itching, but that's more near the belly regions.

I am curious about the Brazillian waxing for men and costs, comfort/discomfort, etc. I have actually tried out one of the self-wax kits from CVS and although they work, it was quite painful. Mostly because it was self-wax and getting the courage to pull the strip yourself was just difficult.
