Haha, touche. I can honestly say that I've only eaten there once and I may or may not have been under the influence lol.

Waffle House is bad ass if you find one in the right neighborhood. There are a couple really good ones in ABQ.

I have no shame in saying a lifetime pass to grub there would be a reward to me indeed :D

(oh, and you're kinda supposed to be a lil fucked up when you hit up a Waffle House. Unwritten rules)

Haha, yeah I was not alone in the fucked up department. I recall it being very entertaining as well. So you kinda get 2 things for the price of 1, who doesn't love that :D

I lived down the street from one. We called it the Awful House. It was on the strip where the drag queens performed, and was the cheapest entertainment in town.
I ate a lot of hash browns.

I have to quote The Guitarist, when I showed him Movies in 30 Seconds by Bunnies:
"How do you stumble on this stuff?"

Because someone will ask:

Hah! I have a sweet friend who is a Reddit nerd and sends me weird crap. I told her about the weenie waffles, and she found this a few days later.

My answer was 25 years of insomnia and a computer.

I have few reddit skills.

Speaking of better than muffins... I'm making tasty stuff for dinner tomorrow. Steamed snow crab legs with lemon/garlic butter, roast garlic mashed potatoes, and roast asparagus drizzled with balsamic. Om nom nom <3

Sounds fantastic @Fade. I've never attempted crab legs before.

I steam fish occasionally, too. Usually salmon with some garlic, black pepper, lemon slices, etc. I originally got a wok + bamboo steaming trays to cook dumplings. Rem isn't big on fish though, and we both like crab. A local place is having a sale for snow crab, $8/pound... Hard to pass up :)

Yeah, that would be hard to pass up at that price. I might have to try the steamer for my fish sometime, I usually grill or bake it.

I use a round glass baking dish, put the fish in, and set the dish in the steaming basket and put the bamboo lid on. I think if you had a more traditional Western style metal steaming basket you could still put a baking dish or something on it to keep everything contained/together pretty easily. In my experience it's a real easy way to have nice moist, flavorful fish

Thanks for sharing, I eat fish several times a week so I'm interested to try it that way :)
