Great segment on the Hill about Biden falling into the same patterns that at least partially cost Hillary the election.

This along with the way he seems almost senile, makes me think Biden has no chance against Trump.

The Democrats really need to come up with a better deal for these rust belt communities that have been left behind. But I wonder if that is possible under the old ways of thinking? Perhaps it is time for a radical idea.

Not going to watch the video for a lot of reasons. Namely, i don't think biden will (or even could) win. I could be wrong on everything i'm saying but i think it's bernie's election to lose. After so much insanity coming from both republicans and bernie's camp (also russians) about hillary i think it created blindsides for anyone other than bernie. A sort of full on bernie or bust thing where no one has as much a chance of winning over democrats and independents alike over bernie.

It's kind of a sad thing to think but so much misinformation was accepted by bernie supporters, democrats and independents that it gave republicans and russians a social engineering back door into a good number of democrats and independent's minds. Somehow now even giving a meeting with wall street means a politicians is 100% corrupt. Getting backed by any company with lots of money now means a politician is 100% corrupt. In some instances having voted for the iraq war means a politician should never be considered for the presidency. And so on.

Again, i could be very very wrong with all of this but i don't think he has a chance. Especially not when people now know who bernie is because of chants that the dnc cheated him. Which weren't and aren't true. He's getting more donations to his campaign now than he ever did. Which allows him to get more visibility than he ever had before.

I don't think biden is repeating what hillary did either. Because hillary pretty much predicted just about everything we now 100% know of trump before he was even elected. Problem is, not to many people were actually listening when she said it.

I am about as fed up with Biden as I have ever been. That said, if he wins the nomination, I will vote for him. His latest statement about putting a Republican on the ticket was the final straw. There is no Republican on planet earth that would be acceptable for me under any circumstances. As a group they are soulless cowards, and their commitment to keeping women pregnant at all costs is in every Republican's DNA. No. No, No, Never, ever.

I will just mention it in passing, Bernie could not win even if he managed to get the nomination. He is too far left on pretty much everything and has little down ballot support in either part of Congress to implement plan one. Warren seems to be flailing and losing support. While I am not definitively ruling out anyone other than Bernie and Tulsi I am hoping a moderate does well in Iowa and starts picking up steam as the voters sharpen their focus. Amy and Pete loom as interesting choices, but as has been noted it is still early. At this point in his election Kerry was at 4%.

Bernie was cheated and you are blind if you can't see it.

What deal has Trump done for the rust belt communities that Biden needs to counter? A tax cut? More trade wars? If they're stupid enough to vote for the pussy grabbing conman again let them do it. You can't fix stupid. We will focus our efforts on the 100 million that didn't vote.

He hasn't done anything. However, he is at least telling people what they want to hear.

Well you see thats the problem with the identity politics of the left. You abandon one group for another and talk about how much you care about them, they stop caring about you. It's happening with the black community as well

Meh. It happens with factory workers, farmers, police, the military, the young, the elderly, anybody really. You don't care about me, why *should* I care about you?

Yes it's easy to lie much harder to speak the truth and that's an ethical, if you will, fundamental difference between republicans and democrats. One side spins lies and half-truths to win elections while the other side makes a sincere effort to speak facts whether voters want to hear it or not.

To be fair, both sides lie.

I think the problem is that the traditional strategies of Democrats and Republicans aren't going to fix the problems we're facing now. In fact you can argue that those ways of thinking are what caused a lot of these issues to begin with.
