Ok. So each week everyone competes to become head of household (HOH). The HOH gets to nominate two people for eviction (they call this putting them on the block). Then, the people that are nominated compete to try and save themselves from the block. In the end, the other houseguests each vote to evict one of the two. The person with the most votes leaves. They do this every week until there are two people left, then the last 7 evicted houseguests vote for the winner. The show usually lasts around 12 weeks. I hope that makes sense lol

That sounds very different to the way Big Brother works in the UK. There is no HOH concept at all. Every Tuesday during the series, each participant nominates 2 housemates, giving reasons. The housemates with the most nominations qualify for eviction. Usually only two are up for eviction, but sometimes 3 or even 4 have been known. Viewers vote during the week to evict those nominated housemates, using telephone or text. During the live broadcast of the show on Friday, the lines are closed and the housemate(s) with the most votes from the public, is/are evicted and interviewed. In the final week of the show there are no nominations but viewers vote for the housemate whom they want to win the show. The winner gets all the prize money. All other housemates get nothing. If it's a Celebrity Big Brother the winning celebrity wins the money for their chosen charity.
