thanks for the feedback and will follow your advice...so when someone says ulgy and mean things on vid chat in the general chatroom about someone else, one should report that to the admin? and when a person starts a thread on a particular topic and people say mean and ugly things about you, one should report that...even though the admin is on the thread as well?
i am for fun and happy times, not drama and i get it that these folks never, ever, ever stop if one engages them...time to move on.
Yes you should report it, even if myself or another member of the team are currently posting in it.
The thread I became a part of was reported to the team, and having read the thread the over all decision was "no action" at that point in time due to it being six of one, half a dozen of the other. Later however, additions were made to the thread which could have swayed things, but rather than take official action, I personally felt that explaining how things are done and asking both sides to act in a more mature manner was the best way forward. You'll note that I further explained that failure to report things would result in the team only having what is in front of them to consider when dealing with these matters, and that doesn't always result in the correct decision being made (though correct given what we have to base it on) and that "taking matters into your own hands" could very well result in you being the one getting the warnings and not those you feel pushed you to react in such a manner.
Incidents from chat can be reported by obtaining a screenshot and either emailing it to
moderator@lpsg.org/admin.lpsg@googlemail.com, PMing it to a member of the team (though multiple members of the team is best as some may be away on trips and such) or by putting it in a thread within the support section.
Do not presume that a member of the team posting to a thread means that 1. It has/hasn't been reported 2. Isn't also being discussed at length in the mod forum 3. That nothing is being done about other peoples participation within the thread. It merely means that the mod in question felt they had something to add to the thread, as a member of the site, or as a member of the team.
