Hello all, I have noticed that men in the west these days spend a lot more time on building bigger legs & butts than chest/arms while earlier they were more focused on bigger arms and lesser focused on bigger butts, so i am curious to know what could be the reasons behind this shift in the focus? has the beauty/handsomeness standards for men in the west or men in general have changed now? i have been to many eastern countries as well but there i find men more interested in building upper body.. lets see what you all have noticed and what do you all think..

I can’t comment on the West, but here in Asian, you can always tell the professional gymers from the posers. A professional gymer will ensure that his body is proportional and the posers will only work on the “vanity” muscles (biceps, chest, abs).

I'd say it's the general increase of sex being less controversial(so they try to highlight the most sexual part of their body), also just beauty trends changing(People love big butts now! haha) The same also has applied for women too( in the form of BBL's + instagram muscle girls, just a bit earlier. I suppose the men are just catching up. I remember the days the 2000's where skinnier was more ideal. That's my take on it.
