No more clubs like the Tunnel, which was properly named because the physical shape of the entire club was in the form of a long, subway tunnel. The things you could do conceptually, with lighting shows and sound were inspirational. One really large main room that could fit thousands of people, with side rooms that held lounges, seating areas and bars. Elevated sections, including the bathroom areas which even had their own DJ. This video gives a very brief breakdown.

We have a similar concept/theme to the tunnel. Funny you bring that up. [Although we won't have capacity for thousands]

You want to compare your "upscale" Country/Western bar to NYC? You got some BIG shoes to fill.

Although I love country/western, this is not a country bar/lounge.

Reading the last few posts it doesnt seem appropriate, but what the hell...

Today or so Woods was apparently grovelling in public for being a naughty boy. I find this embarassing. He didnt do anything more than anyone else here would likely do given the circumstances. He's not in the church. I find it really wierd that golfers are supposed to have better morals than engineers, or judges, or teachers, or anyone else. Pure hypocrisy. Not confined to the US, theyve just been doing it here about some footballer. I really don't care but I dislike this ritual shaming of individuals for behaving like normal people.

Obama? No idea what he has done. I suppose courageously he has decided to press on with Mr. bush's war. Not sure I agree, but he would have to have been even more courageous to cancel it. It is as stupid to blame him for the economic crisis as Brown, which doesnt stop the opposition here from doing exactly that.

I don't think it is *normal* for a married father of two young children to be having unprotected sex with porn stars.

I really don't care but I dislike this ritual shaming of individuals for behaving like normal people.

*Normal* people do not carry on over one dozen multi-year relationships simultaneously while being married.

This thread may set the record for the most pointless contrived premise.

This thread may also set the record for the most inane responses.

One, I'm not your buddy.
Two, obviously it isn't, but if you can post comparing two vastly differing people, I can say something a little humanitarian, right?

Tray2nc, I feel your pain. Starpooper is lonely and presumes he has more friends than he actually has.

Is that a surprise considering the source?

Actually dude, most clubs in NYC are pretty mediocre right now. You have a few exceptions to this rule, some that are properly themed with the right crowd and atmosphere. But for the most part, nothing special to write about.

Isn't that the truth? I never thought I would see the day considering ALL the NYC clubs since 54. NYC was once the best nightclub venue in the world and I've been to many world cities but none could match the NY clubs and enthusiasm. All gone now. Gone. It's just unbelievable the absolute dearth of options.

Honestly, maybe it's because I didn't expect Obama to be Jesus Christ in the White House, I'm fairly indifferent. However, I think people are too quick to jump on him, you have to take into account the amount of resistance this guy has, pretty much everything he proposes get shot down, causing him to compromising it to a less desirable result. Also, since we don't actually know the inside information the White House knows, who are we to say "this" or "that" was not right just because at the surface it may seem unjust. Plus he's only been in office for a year. Therefore I think judgements should me made towards the end of this first term rather than the beginning. Last point, remember he is a politician. As far as Tiger goes, I think it's nonsense that we care so much about someones private life. He had no need, in my opinion, to apologize to the world. His issues were between him and his wife, period. So am I disappointed in him, no, because considering the whatever high % of men and women who cheat in the U.S., and the world for that matter, it's not surprising because he's human, a human with a lot of money.

I think that the apology was gift-wrapped like an apology to the public. But, it was really designed to stop the bleeding from his sponsors. He's lost most aside from Tag and Nike - amounting to some $25 mil/annum.

He would rather flip off the public than apologize to them. However, money talks.

From my travels, it seems as if this energy moved to the clubs in Brazil, especially places like Sao Paulo & Rio. Shall I book you a ticket?

I just got back from Carnival in Rio . I just haven't found it to be the same enthusiasm like Palladium or Sound Factory at their peak. Then again it could be just Father Time doing his thing but I don't find the people just going crazy like it was in NYC. London had a serious frenzied feel too for awhile....best in Europe. If you want to think of the UK as Europe.
