Those were Obama's accomplishments. Of course almost all of them are simply extensions of legislation signed years earlier. As I can tell Obama only should be credited with Tarp and Cash for Clunkers, both pretty much washes or failures. the Ryan White act has been around since 1990 so Pres Bush signed it 8 times. Does that make him 8 times better than Obama? LOL

Industrialsize never fact checks.

Tiger Woods won 6 times in 2009. He was PGA Player of the Year. Depending on your point of view he nailed lots of hot pussy or he is a real scumbag.

I guess Obama is the biggest loser here. He SAID he would get us a public option, stop the war in Iraq, stop global warming, have real talks with Iran. Oops. He failed at all of them. Tiger's job to his public is to win golf tourneys. He did his job.

Hate knows no bounds.

Oh, get over it. I doubt anyone here hates Obama. He is though becoming a laughingstock. Leno is ripping on him. SNL riffed him. Columnists are making parody of him. Liberal columnists. H e said he would get a public option by August of 2009 and he is failing. He sets goals and timetables and can't hit them. With a foolproof legislative majority.

Its a funny comparison. Its humorous. Its satire. Star posted a funny one. And its harmless.

They have a saying down in Texas for guys like Obama. "Big hat, no cattle."

"Obama said he will attend the ceremony in Oslo if he's not too busy with the two wars he's conducting." –Bill Maher

"President Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel committee said they wanted to recognize the president's fine work in bringing peace to a black professor and a white cop through the strategic use of beer." --Jay Leno

"President Barack Obama told his Cabinet yesterday to insure that every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely. But there was one embarrassing moment when he had to explain to the Cabinet what a taxpayer was." --Jay Leno

And you're responding to me, why?

Oh, get over it.

Why don't you do it first, neotard?

I doubt anyone here hates Obama.

You do.

Leno is ripping on him. SNL riffed him.

That's because they are comedians on various comedy shows that aren't afraid of getting political. They make fun of ALL politicians, regardless of party affiliation. Comedy shows were making fun of Obama before he was even the Democratic nominee. Need proof? Check the date when this video was uploaded: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOTAfGuLA-0

And it haven't stopped since he's been in the spotlight. Yet somehow, you think this is a sign of the changing times?

Columnists are making parody of him. Liberal columnists.

So what? Are you expecting every single "liberal" piece of media to never make a joke about the politicians they follow?

H e said he would get a public option by August of 2009 and he is failing. He sets goals and timetables and can't hit them. With a foolproof legislative majority.

Wow... a president made a projection and it didn't come through. Considering that every single president before him is also guilty of this, I guess they're all failures as well?

Its a funny comparison. Its humorous. Its satire. Star posted a funny one. And its harmless.

Star's "joke", considering the lack of a punch line, maybe just that... but your antics are far from it. Especially since you found it necessary to get into a fight with Indy about it by sourcing things he's done and denounce them. You know, because you asked certain "fags" to list anything Obama did and I'm sure you weren't happy when someone called your bluff and made you look foolish... again.

If anyone isn't getting the joke, it's you. Which is why you're desperately trying to view selective media sources & comedians, whose history have leaned "to the left" according to blind neocons such as yourself, now as allies because they told a few Obama jokes. That is, of course, until tomorrow when they'll make fun of Sarah Palin or a tea bagger and you'll be back to hating them.

Here's the problem...
Both Leno & Maher voted for Obama and still support him even if they make fun of him in their monologues. Do you understand what that means? Don't think too hard on this one...

The tone of the jokes have changed. More and more the jokes focus on his lack of accomplishment. Of course normal political jokes about the President are fair play, but these jokes are now underlining a current of liberal discontent. He needs to hit a home run. If he gets a public option he will have done something remarkable. And it may happen. and good for him. If not, he really does not have a lot to hang his hat on. Cap and trade:dead. Global warming: dead. Job creation: dead. Full diplomatic engagement with Iran/North Korea:dead. Rebuilding infrastructure: dead.

Right now he is a terrific Republican President. He has escalated the war in the Middle East, helping the big defense contractors. He has bailed out Wall Street, helping goldman Sachs et al. He has (thru the Fed) lowered borrowing costs for big banks to near zero and not made them pass on the savings to us. The spread on consumer and small business loans are usury, the highest in recent history., which strongly helps Wells Fargo, B of A and Citi gain record profits.

Right now big business cannot ask for a better friend in the White House.

Look at the Fed funds rate now

>>As of December 16, 2008, the most recent change the FOMC has made to the funds target rate is a 75-100 basis point cut from 1.0% to a range of zero to 0.25%. (According to Jack A. Ablin, chief investment officer at Harris Private Bank, one reason for this unprecedented move of having a range, rather than a specific rate, was because a rate of 0% could have had problematic implications for money market funds, whose fees could then outpace yields[8].) This followed the .5% cut on October 29, 2008.[9] This followed the unusually large 75 basis point cut made during a special January 22, 2008 meeting in response to the stock market turmoil that January,[9] as well as a 50 basis point cut on January 30, 2008, a 75 basis point cut on March 18, 2008, and a 50 basis point cut on October 8, 2008.<<<

Here are some commercial lending rates

Commercial Mortgage Rates | Today's Commercial Loan Rates

So banks borrow money at 0% and lend at 5.55%. Wow talk about profitable!! Shrewd arbitragers are thrilled with a 2% margin. But 5.5% margin!!?? And thats to the little guys. I have access to the private side of my bank and i can get much much lower rates than you. Its bullshit, its unfair to you. But thats how it is.

What has he done to help the little guy? I don't see it.

Hate knows no bounds.

The prolific peddler of hate, intolerance and ignorance is gone (for now at least). And his willing enablers are surely deeply saddened.

That's because people like you assumed everyone who voted for Obama was expecting him to get everything done in a snap of a finger. You smoked more of that campaign crack regarding "change" than most Democrats. Any real person would know that any progress made in Congress is done gradually, and usually in small steps. It's rarely ever a complete reversal in the way things currently are.

Of course normal political jokes about the President are fair play, but these jokes are now underlining a current of liberal discontent.

Doesn't matter. There's a political fringe on both sides of the spectrum that expect all or nothing solutions and lack the ability to compromise. Again, you're only attaching yourself to these current jokes because you never liked "libs" to begin with, all the while not comprehending the concept of a gray area which suggests that even his biggest supporters can also issue critiques when necessary.

Besides, notice how people from both sides of the fringe can agree on one action while having completely different motives as to why? Take the current "kill the bill" nonsense going on with Health Care Reform. Far lefties are saying it because they want a Senate Bill to include more provisions to benefit the working & middle class among other things. Far righties are saying it mainly because they want to prevent the passing of any major legislation to help them with the new round of rhetoric they want to use against Democrats and the current administration in 2010... which is reflected in their voting record in Congress despite the many attempts of bipartisanship made by House & Senate Democrats.

Hitting a "home run" wouldn't matter because those who hate him will never give him the credit he deserves. If in the next 3 years he's able to meet most or all of his campaign promises, fringe conservatives will find something else to dislike him for. You can't please everyone, and to try to will ultimately lead to failure. As long as he makes the people he elected happy by time the election comes through in 2012, he should be fine.

Right now he is a terrific Republican President.

Seems to me you took another Jay Leno joke and ran with it as fact.

First off, he campaigned about continuing the war in Afghanistan and ending the war in Iraq which is exactly what the current administration is working on. Funny how people like you tried so hard to keep the wars separate during the Bush era but instantly want to lump them all together as one rebranded war against the "Middle East" now that Obama is in office. Keep in mind, the Middle East is made up of more than 20 countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Sudan, Syria, Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Lebanon, Palestine, Qatar, Tunisia, Turkey, Yemen, Iraq, Libya, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates to be more precise. We're only at war with two of them. Let's hope that you're not associating the other 90% of the Middle East to be our enemy as well.

Also, many other people besides the filthy rich benefitted from the Wall Street & bank bailouts. That is, unless, you want to assume that working & middle class people don't have investments and savings accounts. Letting these two financial sectors collapse would have done more harm to more people than good in the long run. Just because they're not large accounts like the wealthy you lust after don't make them any less insignificant.

Well, first off I don't borrow money from banks. I've never applied for a loan after college, and I've weaned myself off the dependency of credit cards. So none of these new rates affect myself, or millions just like me, in the least. Secondly, you're talking about a demographic that already had problems getting and maintaining loans to begin with and that was before the recession even started.

Nobody hates "the rich" for having the money. Many complaints are issued at them since these are usually the first people to have their hands out for government assistance in the form of tax breaks, such as the continued begging of a so-called flat tax where everyone is charged the same percentage knowing full well that it only benefits people with more. I could go on, but it would be a complete waste of my time to do so.

What has he done to help the little guy? I don't see it.

Instead of posting my opinion on the subject matter, only for you to not comprehend a thing and scream about how I'm answering this question dishonestly since everyone (in your view) is supposed to hate Obama now, I'll leave that to you to figure out. Besides, not all of the pluses you seek are in the form of dollar signs and that's the only thing you're interested in.

Obama slightly disappointed me mainly because I haven't seen him being as forceful in voice and presentation as I was hoping for. He's in a bad place if he does get forceful for obvious reasons from a lot of backward thinking people who want him to fail. he came in with a ton of things he wanted to do and needed to get done. still too early in his first term to be really disappointed. Let's see what happens in the next 7 years before judging him. he's doint his best and that can't disappoint.

Woods never really made a difference to my life and because of that can't disappoint me, he was made in to a star and has unrealistic expectations from the world. he actually helped me deal with my slut wife better when she cheated on me. I got to see they both are hunan and capable of falling short on what others want of them.

Biggest disappointment in '09 - Tiger or Obama?
I wasn't disappointed by Tiger Woods.

If a celebrity cheats in their primary relationship, that is THEIR business.
NOT the public's business.

I don't see people hating on that Jonas brother that dumped Taylor Swift. Disney didn't dump the Jonas Brothers over that shit.

I don't see Britney Spears losing any sponsors because she dumped Kevin Federline over the cellphone. Ms. Spears even ran off with the kids. She didn't lose sponsors for her actions.

I think that it would be disappointing to expect that a celebrity is going to be a "candle of morality and ethics". THAT GOES FOR POLITICIANS AS WELL .

I am not disappointed by Barack Obama either.
