Thank you, Carolyn, for taking the time to say such nice things!! I honestly was just answering the question, while at a weak moment. Normally, I would have let it pass. It means alot, though, when someone makes the effort to take notice. I do appreciate it, alot!! HUGS

This is totaly off topic, but..., what is your biggest regret. This can be anything, whether it was something you did or didn't do. It could also be something you didn't even have control over. For me, I feel like I didn't do enough in Iraq to fight the insurgents. I was reactivated into the Marines after two and a half years and sent to Iraq, guess what, I shot my rifle once to warn a closing vehical to back off. I did find a rather large IED and saved my plattoon before it went off and we took small arms fire, but I never had a chance to fight back. I've been blown up once and had two close calls. I've been sniped (almost) and retook the city of Het from (reportedly) 300-500 insurgents, but I never had to defend myself. I also had the misfourtune of counting and collecting the bodies of Marines who died (my experience on the USS Cole got me selected for that). I did alot in Iraq, just not anything that felt like I had done my job. Any one else?

Regrets?
I should have gone to law school right out of high school.
I should have talked things over with one of my exes instead of just getting fed up and dumping him.
Shoulda woulda coulda.......

Dang ...some of you had some real OMG regrets. Mine is not tragic. Even though some would think getting HIV from my First love would have been my biggest regret. When It actually brought me the greatest LOVE in my life. Isn't it odd how life tends to change our out look on life. Okay..my regret is a "too late kind of thing." I have never had sex with a well endowed guy..ever!!!
So that would be mine.

My greatest regret is being born. That is the truth, but I will probably also regret posting it after I have slept.

Seriously, if I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have wanted to be born. The world is a dismal, hateful place. The best we can do is find people who we care about and who care about us, and hang on for dear life!

Don't give up. Some of us are hanging on to you! Feel free to hang on to us.

Agreed. Thats what this place is for - To Join people from around the globe with similar interests, views, and expressions.

We may not all get along, but this board does do its purpose - It's Support.

My largest regret would be: Not going to College right out of High School.

My Kind./Elem/Mid/JR/High school experiences were nothing short of horriffic, and I have failed myself by not finishing college in my early 20's.
I had all the toys that I couldn't have back in HS. When everybody else had all the neat things, I went without. So, I thought 'nows my time to have my fun'. Wrong..wrong...wrong. Now I pay for it dearly.

I have many deep regrets, but the above is intended to send a message to the Younggins on this board:

Go to School, get an education, no matter what!!!
Let your friends party/drink/smoke all they want.
YOU - Yes YOU! Get your education, THEN party.

David is well liked on this board.
So, I'd say that a LOT of us care about him.

I'm sorry you took that wrong. He was talking about that he don't feel his regret was worth talking about. So I say who cares, to say who cares what anyone else thinks. It was not to be a put down. David I hope you took it this way aswell.

David ....I skipped over your "Regret"..simply because it really does bother me when I read things about how people wish they were never born. Even thing remotely similar. I strive everyday to maintain a healthy life style. Avoiding things that might cause me to become ill. I have lived with HIV since 1992. I take 22 pills a day, everyday, 7 days a week. I've had some terrible illness. Which I recovered from, because of great Doctors and a positive attitude.
Life is simple. Every person must think that everyday they have is special. We have complete control on how we live our lives. It is, what you make of it. If you choose to live a miserable life style, then that is what you will have...missery.
You seem like a fantastic guy...stop this insane thinking. Take hold of your life and improve it.
I know that I might seem harsh, but really I am not. I live in the reality of Life and how precious it truly is.
