This is the other Champion, which i have only seen, never owned. My uncle has several Grid brand jocks in both regular and swimmer. It seems they and this Champion are a lot alike, not sure who made who's but they appear to be the same jock. grid swimmer.jpg

Me too. Did Russell kill off the entire brand or just the jockstrap? If the latter, I can understand, given that jocks have, sadly, been replaced by pussified compression shorts.
I feel fortunate to have worn Bike jocks all through jr hi and hs and college and beyond. I have several "Gym" jocks--the replicas of Bikes, and they're ok, tho they seem not as well made.
How did we get to a lockless society?

I think they killed off the entire Bike line. I have always worn Bike Jocks since I was in high school and went to order some and saw they had been discontinued

I wish they would have kept the line too. Makes me wonder if the "gym" branded replica jocks are selling as well, or if they took a knock. Apparently the same factory that was making the Bike jocks wanted to keep working so they are still being made in the same way just with a different brand name on the end product. It seems like Russell sportswear should have been able to find a different company to sell the Bike brand to keep the product out there rather than killing it completely. I guess they did the research and crunched numbers and said the better choice is to end it instead. Surprising that all of the gym rats from the 70s thru the 2000s didn't protest, but I'm sure they may not have realized some fans of the brand exist. :)

I'll probably buy some more of the "Gym" brand, maybe with smaller bands than my current 3 inch waistband Bikes
I have some last-issue 2" Bikes and I do find that 3" is unnecessary. I suppose they used those waistbands that size for football? Not sure of the justification.
I feel like Gym brand replacements are basically the same design, but they quality doesn't feel the same to me. Mine start unraveling here and there just a little way too soon.

I bought two of the throwback edition Bike jocks before they went out of business and you can be damn sure I'm never getting rid of them. I love them

Discontinued, old, never used, used, vintage Bike jock straps can still be obtained on EBay, Amazon, and other sites...or actually most other brands as well.
