Shifting the blame on the other political party is called being a politician. They all do it. Blame is like a pancake. No matter how flat you make the pancake there is still two sides. So politicians always blame the others political views on the problems they called.

Clinton was good for our county with many of his policies and not so good with some. His biggest mistake was picking a page that didn't swallow.

Clinton wasn't that great of a president, though he's fantastic compared to our current one. I'm not saying he was awful, either...but I have the same problem with him as I do with Bush. Niether took much responsibility for what happened on their watch; they tried to shift the blame on something other than them and their administatrion.

I am a huge fan of William Jefferson Clinton. If he could run again I would vote for him a third time...BUT, I have always disagreed with the wishy-washy way in which he handled the attack on the USS Cole.

Here's a few:
Don't Ask, Don't Tell
Dysfucntional welfare reform
NAFTA support
firing Jocelyn Elders

as a long time teamster...I hate NAFTA..but aside from that...I thought he was a pretty good president..shit..at least we had a surplus when he left office....now we're broke...sad. the monica thing is BS...I couldnt care less if he got a blow job in the oval office... Dont ask don't tell? Jeez...I was in mthe military and at leaasst 25% of the females were gay and we knew it. the guys...some were suspected..but if they did thier jobs who cares? Welfare reform....LOL...yeah right...lets face it...I was a lawman in the worst area of Philly...and saw "welfare recipiants" all the time...some 3rd generation...so something needed to be done about it...I think welfare is one of the worst things to ever happen to the black community. And yes, I'm black...Jocelyn Elders....LOL...she was a scapegoat...masturbation IS an alternative to unsafe sex...but the conservatives don't want you playing with yourself...or fucking....unless its them.

When he was still in office I didn't like him. Now... god damn he looks good by comparison. Not sure if that's because my personal politics have changed, my memory has failed, or it's that the current administration has lowered the bar so much (ironic, since they ran on restoring dignity to the executive branch)... but whatever the reason I'm now voting "favorable"

Bill was a weiner, and I say that with great admiration, but we all know it's true. He was a centrist, which is by its very insinuation kind of weasl-like. He's for a little of this, a little of that- try to massage everyone's feelings to the best of your ability and negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. That's just who he was.

He wasn't a Reagan who would make bold pronouncements and decisions, right or wrong. He was a con man, a whore, and a fucking saxophone player. He was a real guy, and we knew where he was coming from. We all made money, and had lives of prosperous moderation. He made some mistakes that were moderately bad, and some decisions that were moderately good. I'd give him a B+ belause I believe he had his less-than-clean fingers in enough pies to keep us OUT of a war situation, and I'm grateful for the eight years of relative peace we enjoyed.

His greatest flaw was his lack of balls in trying to deny his "ill deeds". Everyone resepcts someone who cops to their shit more than someone who tries to weasel out when they're red-handed. "What is the definition if IS?" Motherfucker, with an iq of 156- you damned sure ought to know! Don't insult me, I'm trying to be on your side! But, he's a man, and I don't expect men to tell the truth when their wife will find out about extra-marital blowjobs. Yeah, I'm just that brilliant.

By the way, B+ Is far better than we've had in many a year, I found it wholly acceptable.

I think Bill Clinton was the crookedest President we ever had. And the Doctor that examined his erect penis in his sexual harassment trial would testify to that fact.

a retarded post above.

clinton was highly imperfect, but runs bulldozers over the murderer we have in office now. W is the worst. he has no redeeming qualities. his dad was a wise old soul, but it didn't get passed down. bill guided the country through a good period. W drove us into deficits and war. history will judge him, and the verdict will not be good.

Ask all of the people whose jobs went to Mexico and China

NAFTA was ratified long before Clinton took office. As far as China goes, they've taken jobs from tons of countries (including my own, Canada) during their economic reform.

Clinton was the best prez in the past 35 years. Not only has Bush been bad for America, but he's been bad for the world.

Don't you Yanks know how much the useless war is costing you? You are getting deeply in debt at an horrific rate and you don't even seem to care. I am honestly shocked by this.

20 years from now, when there may be peace in the mid east, I'm sure Bush will take the credit. What the world seems to have forgotten was that the middle east was relatively peaceful BEFORE Bush invaded.

You are right, but Clinton did continue to be a strong supporter of NAFTA-style free trade.

I think the point some of us are trying to make is that even if we agree that Bush Jr. is as low as we have sunk (and I certainly do), that doesn't mean Clinton was flawless. They're really two separate questions. But I definitely have to agree that Clinton was much, much better by comparison.

Except for events in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1970, 1973, 1977, 1980, 1982, 1987, 1991, and 2000.

I was talking about the Middle East at the time that Bush invaded, not the entire history of the Middle East. Just when the area was enjoying a modicum of solace, Bush invaded in the name of "peace." Hussein kept a better job at keeping the peace than Bush's fucked up administration, but then they don't really want peace so I guess the invasion is a success.

You can't ask ordinary American consumers to pay attention to how their government uses its resources. Hell, they can't even be bothered to put down their cell phones and pay attention to their driving with both hands on the wheel.

Between Republicans, Democrats, lobbyists, special interest groups, the way the primary system works, our electoral college, and the partisan hacks on air we call pundits... trying to get elected president when you are talented, ethical, and/or have any good ideas at all is pretty much a losing proposition anymore.

What do I think of when I think of Bill Clinton?

Over 80 dead in Waco.

Randy Weaver's dead son and baby at Ruby Ridge.

The strength of a bombed aspirin factory.

The weakness of thousands dead at the World Trade Center.

Hundreds dead at Embassies throughout the world.

Loreal Corporation giving the Chinese our missle secrets with Bill's blessings.

His meeting with the enemy in Moscow while Amercan soldiers are dying in his cowardly place in Vietnam.

In short, a weaker country, closer to war and nuclear annihilation, a disgraced Presidency, and a foreign policy that was a joke to the rest of the world.

And what was he doing while all of this was going on? Getting a bj in the Oval Office.
