Unlike O'Reilly they didn't pose as defenders of "family values" evangelicals, and the so-called "moral majority." But hey, keep dredging up old shit to defend these fuckers. About what we'd expect from YOU.
And keep making things up.

I'm not defending him!!!!

But I don't remember you being upset about Bill Cosby, JFK, or the murderous Senator, Ted Kennedy.

O'Reilly's audience has always been "doom and gloom" - no optimism, no hope. Just hating on the youth, minorities - always clinging for the yesteryear, when everything was all white and straight, and, yes, when women knew their place. Bill hates anything that had to do with "social justice" (a four-letter word among conservatives). Sound like good ole' fun, them good ole' days?

Another point: it's funny how Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly say that there is is a war on Christianity (all branches, I suppose). No, there is not (sorry to burst your right-wing bubble). But what there is, is an interior war. And guess who's fighting it? Yes, you Christians. You all are the the biggest enemies of your own religion. You only are Christian in name (nominal), but act nothing like one. It's only important that you say you are one (but you don't really need to practice it). Evangelicals want a way to divide America and distribute a strong "you vs. them" mentality among their followers. It has nothing to do with fighting for social justice like Jesus supposedly did.

Being good for the sake of being good is not what American far-right Christianity is about. A good act is not a good act unless it's done by someone on the right-wing side. Good works really don't mean much to Evangelicals anyways. It's all about becoming one of us (born-again) and showing that difference to the greater public with hate and fierce judgment.

I can't wait until I travel back home south again;

where he's a real crowd pleaser, and to see the sick look on some of the faces because his show no longer airs when they were reprogramed 2 times a day.

where exchanges like this brings a smile on the face of way too many for my taste.

As 2 anchors on CNN that worked with him once at fox pointed out the fact that he would openly have the Archie Bunker mentality going on with his comments.

Many of his viewers know this and still listen. Disturbing.

Bill only ever had to "talk the talk", never walk the walk. His viewers set the bar quite low for him.

He festers hate in people, but very subtly with stinging "doom and gloom" topped with "self-righteousness." And many people like that feeling coming over them during the program. It's fun to blame "outsiders" for your miserable whitish, small-townish life. As many of his viewers would say:

"Nothing we small-town, hard-working, white Protestants can do. We wipe our hands of the immoral youth, the entitlement culture and the ever-whining minority groups. We sure did live the right way - the "old school way", that is. We have nothing to be ashamed of; in fact, we're damn proud of who we are. We made America great. And so, Bill, you give (now "gave") us a voice. And we so thank you for it."

Bill was never a strong right-wing ideologue like Hannity or Cruz, but he knew how to stir up the hate in people, under the guise of encouraging them to live ever so insularly in that "holier-than-thou" bubble looking out at the "big, bad world" for which they, "the old schoolers", suffer no blame.

Email shows Bill O'Reilly's lawyers had one last trick up their sleeve

A 20-year career at Fox News is a hard thing to walk away from, and in Bill O'Reilly's case, new emails show just how far lawyers were prepared to go to save his job.

Politico has accidentally forwarded correspondence between O'Reilly and his legal team.

In it, lawyers muse over whether they should argue the sexual allegations were actually part of a liberal smear campaign.

His legal counsel apparently had an email in their arsenal from April 13th by Mary Pat Bonner, an ally of liberal watchdog group Media Matters which urged advertisers to pull their spots from "The O'Reilly Factor."

Email Shows Bill O'Reilly's Lawyers Had One Last Trick Up Their Sleeves
Duration: 01:37s - Published: about 5 hours ago< > Embed

Ever since the New York Times uncovered a $13 million dollar payout to five women accusing him of sexual misconduct, O'Reilly has maintained his innocence, calling them "unfounded" but he seemed less than convinced arguing a hit job would be a good idea.

He wrote, "If we show to Fox tomorrow, word will get out and the Thursday call may be canceled. So no formal sending to Rupert until after the call. You all should know that I will not put up with much more from FNC."

We don't know if that Thursday call ever came to fruition, or if Rupert Murdoch ever saw the email, but it probably wouldn't have made a difference.

By Wednesday, as he shook the hands of the pope, the king of cable news was out.

Tucker Carlson is slightly more liberal on some social issues by virtue of being much younger than his predecessor (he supports gay marriage) ). That said, he is no fighter for minority rights, as no true conservative can be.

But Tucker still is a true blue conservative for the most part. He hates on the poor and loves the rich (don't tax the "poor" rich boys); worries about where someone takes a piss; etc.

Sadly, and very pertinent to the O'Reilly scandal, Tucker has commented that sexual harassment is an invention of the Democratic party. Doesn't seem that Fox is changing its sexist culture. LOL.

Fox FAUX News is an abomination.:oops:

Gotta love those "old school" values they promote, though. I mean, come on, it's Fox & Friends.

Bill likes threesomes with two women. Must not have too much of a problem with lesbian sex, right? He should be supporting gay rights like never before as it gets his dick rock hard. He also likes to fruit fuck women (now that's what I call a "fruity family value").

The only hope for America is a squadron of B-52s, something heavy and reliable, to take out FoxFauxFixed News. From top to bottom it is as corrupt as the Swamp Thing it is responsible for putting in the White House.

Where did you get that from? The "you're either with us, or agianst us" mentality?

Maybe that's a question you should've put to Fox News, conservative media outlets, their hate filled right winged constituency, and the conservative-Republican-Tea Party Congressmen/asswipes who met in a room before Obama even set foot in office and conspired to oppose, undermine, and block EVERYTHING the man tried to accomplish, including shit they previously were in FAVOR of.

As I predicted at the start he did get paid millions "for doing nothing" and he is already doing a "podcast" which is how Glenn Beck started out after he got fired from Fox News

This is the problem with a legal settlement out of court. He can claim that the claims were "unfounded" because he was never convicted. A settlement is equally damning as it is pardon.

There must have been a weakness in the prosecution that would cause the lawyers, and the plaintiffs to accept the settlement and not pursue further.

There also must have been either guilt, fear, or both of O'reilly to shove money at the problem instead of shutting it down.

I'm expecting O'reilly trying to save face by either suing Fox in a defamation suit on "unfounded" claims with a goal for another settlement on fox's part. The fact that they removed him for losing ad revenue being their defense, their weakness being that they should have attempted to defend his name against "unfounded" allegations. Since fox would be in a vice because they cannot neither make an advertiser stay with them, nor prove the claims to be true, especially following a settlement that did not lead to any conviction, they'd likely settle.

As for good ol' bill, there will always be a loudmouth, one-sided, wrinkly bag of confidence for the most extreme right, available to replace him. There is nothing won, there is no victory., there's nothing to see here. He'll right a book about it, make even more millions, and retire, since I'm sure he's already been thinking about it.

Have you heard the one about Jesse Watters?

Hilarious sidekick Jesse Watters, otherwise known as Skippy, has always been used as a vehicle on the Bill O'Reilly Show to demonstrate the inept and intolerant stupidity of limousine liberals. Usually place in the last third of Bill's show after all the hard news segments are over, Jesse's assignment was normally to ambush overt liberals and demonstrate how far on the left side of the intellectual Bell Curve they fall. "Who's buried in Grant's Tomb?" He-haw.

Frequently Jesse Watters showed-up in institutions of higher learning like the Seven Sisters liberal arts colleges for women where tuition typically runs north of fifty grand. Then he'd target three smoking hot coeds and pounce on them with trivia questions like who is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Interior? When the women couldn't answer the question Fox News would splice-in a few seconds of the song Three Blind Mice. This is called humor.

These days with his mentor-in-chief now fired Jesse has had to go-it alone. Problem is he doesn't know how to transition from his former on-air persona into a new one. He doesn't realize when to quit playing Don Rickles and to at least try to impersonate Edward R. Morrow. So the other evening he stared into the camera, that impish grin plastered on his face, and strongly suggested lovely Ivanka Trump was about to deep throat a microphone.

Jesse Watters is now on (ahem) vacation.

His segment mocking Asian-Americans was shameful. That alone should have been enough to pull him off the air but it's Fox and they couldn't care less about racist segments on their network.
