Ok so check this out. I happened across this thing on a livejournal site, and decided to do some reseach and find out about it.
Basically, it is the concept that certian frequencies of sound can alter your brain waves and produce better concentration, relaxation, and even "out of body experiences"
So, I found these three sites and torrented some cds to try out.
SBaGen -- Binaural Beat Brain Wave Experimenter's Lab
Digital Drug. Binaural Beats Digital Drugs. Total Mind Buzz - A Natural High.
Holosync: Centerpointe Research Institute: The Most Powerful Personal Growth, Meditation and Mind Development Tool on the Planet

the last one is sort of hokey, but there is some good info in there despite that.
has anyone heard of this or tried it?

I use binaural beat software on an almost daily basis. You can dowload some great software here:

    BrainWave Generator

Keep us updated on your experiments!

I dont know about this one. I will check it out. Yes sound can affect us. Sound can even kill us. The military has been using sound as a weapon for years. It is said that Egyptians used sound in the building of some of the pyramids. I dont know. One thing is for sure sound can affect us:cool:
