- Enid,
I am anti-HBC (hormonal birth control), which means I have to keep track of my menstrual cycle and check cervical mucus to prevent pregnancy. For STI/Ds protection I use condoms. Indeed, I loveee condoms and the whole ritual to their use - there's definitely a little latex love involved (oooh, smoooth! :biggrin1, but nothing like watching/slipping one over a hard cock.
My gynecologist recommends contraceptive sponges as an alternative to condoms, however, the brand she preferred, Protectaid, was discontinued before I was able to do a test run. I should finally try Today and see if the sponge is an option for my body.
i like keeping track of my cycle too, for spontaneous times when i might not have anything else. have you tried those cycle beads?? i have been meaning to try them. i think that's what they are called.
CycleBeads - Natural Birth Control
they are supposed to be really effective.
i do not favor hormonal birth control either. all kinds i tried (a few) brought my sex drive way down.
