Some of the posters on this site are intelligent thoughtful people. However, my girlfriend just comes on this site, and sees what all the head-up-ass people posted. That makes her go celibate. Will those people stop being such dumbasses? I'm getting blue balls.

I've found the most effective form of birth control to be menopause... but you may have to wait a while for that one to kick in chinagirl :biggrin1:

+1. Although I'm still perimenopausal, so I'm afraid I might have one or two eggs still rattling around in there! :biggrin1: Condoms are the back up/protection.

wow. amaaaazing responses to the original post. Geesh embarrassed for some of you.

So, yeah, I use the ring. NuvaRing: The Once-a-Month Birth Control

I like it. At first there was some odd discharge, not something I liked, but now it's settled down....not sure that's the right way to put it, but I don't have the discharge any longer and the ring is simple, safe and since I'm also a condom girl with a new partner, I like the freedom of being able to not use the condom if we decide to move forward.

The ring also has the added bonus of lighter periods. That alone is worth the effort of keeping track of when to remove, add new and so on.

Sorry such bitches on this site. Sigh. How easy is it to simply NOT read something if it's already been covered, but oh, I forgot for some people being a bitch to a complete stranger is FUN and free therapy.

IUD gave me a pelvic infection in the bad old days. The pill gave me high blood pressure, or my high blood pressure got worse on the pill, one or the other. I went back to condoms and diaphragm for a bit until the blessed Change. That and creativity. I do love the taste of man-fluids.

Billijean.....

That's nice.
While you are on your soapbox about the women on the forum, I encourage you to take a look around and see what has been transpiring to get to this point. If you care not to, then stop being a snarky bitchy person yourself about snarky bitchy people. It really doesn't make much sense otherwise.
