The cops also allegedly had on body cams that wasn't on that night.
Also buried in the same article:
"The attorney general said the grand jury investigation confirmed that the police had properly knocked and announced their presence before bursting in to Ms. Taylor’s apartment — a point disputed by Mr. Walker and by a number of neighbors who have said in interviews with reporters that they heard no announcement."
Surely this is an important point of contention. If the neighbors' statements are correct, no conservative worthy of the name could possibly object to a citizen firing his gun in self-defense against unannounced intruders.
I live in a country where defensive force must not be disproportionate to the objective. In America the law allows for lethal force in these circumstances. That’s why Breonna’s boyfriend wasn’t charged was shooting the police.
Your suggestion Is that because the neighbours didn’t hear the knock, it didn’t happen? The warrant was executed at 12:40am on a Friday night. People are asleep. People are partying.
That article is about as balanced as it's ever going to get. Breonna's boyfriend firing isn't omitted from any articles. That's actually an excuse and justification so many like to use. What's causing the rioting is the continuous injustice that happens in the united states. Black people are tired of being treated like this. Those police officers broke into their apartment in the middle of the night unannounced with a no knock warrant and killed an innocent woman. The fact that the cops were allowed to get away with killing her sends a clear message that her and the lives of black people do not matter. The fact that only one officer was charged with shooting into the walls and not at Breonna makes that message loud and clear.
And how, exactly, do you know this.? The grand jury heard whatever evidence the AG DECIDED to present. There is no way for YOU to know that ALL available evidence was presented.I just don’t think the conversation benefits from the loaded language here. Search warrants are a necessary but dangerous part of any policing operation. Each case must be considered in accordance with the law.
let’s not forget that this was a grand jury determination based on all available evidence. There are disgraceful acts of police misconduct in America, but this isn’t one of them.

As the other thread was started not out of enlightenment and empathy a more factual one based on understanding and clarity is started.
About the Black Lives Matter Network
Black Lives Matter is a chapter-based national organization working for the validity of Black life. We are working to (re)build the Black liberation movement.
This is Not a Moment, but a Movement.
#BlackLivesMatter was created in 2012 after Trayvon Martin’s murderer, George Zimmerman, was acquitted for his crime, and dead 17-year old Trayvon was posthumously placed on trial for his own murder. Rooted in the experiences of Black people in this country who actively resist our dehumanization, #BlackLivesMatter is a call to action and a response to the virulent anti-Black racism that permeates our society.Black Lives Matter is a unique contribution that goes beyond extrajudicial killings of Black people by police and vigilantes.
What Does #BlackLivesMatter Mean?
When we say Black Lives Matter, we are broadening the conversation around state violence to include all of the ways in which Black people are intentionally left powerless at the hands of the state. We are talking about the ways in which Black lives are deprived of our basic human rights and dignity.

That 3rd degree murder charge was originally the sole charge prosecutors were to level against Derek Chauvin. But this caused further outrage as legal experts noted this charge was inappropriate in this instance, thus would have been dismissed by the judge and allowed Chauvin to escape justice. Hence advocates for justice demanded prosecutors bring 1st or 2nd degree murder charges instead.
Judge drops 3rd-degree murder charge against Derek Chauvin in George Floyd’s death
Excerpt:
“Because a third-degree murder charge can be sustained only in situations in which the defendant’s actions were ‘eminently dangerous to other persons’ and were not specifically directed at the particular person whose death occurred, this is not an appropriate case for a third-degree murder charge,” Cahill wrote in his 107-page order and opinion.
“The evidence presented by the State does not indicate that Chauvin’s actions were eminently dangerous to anyone other than Floyd. More importantly, Chauvin’s actions were of course specifically directed at the particular person whose death occurred, George Floyd, upon whom Chauvin kneeled for more than nine minutes, pressing Floyd’s upper chest area, neck and throat, and face into the concrete of Chicago Avenue.”
