I wanna know what the experience is like being a black gay man in Bangkok. I know that a lot of Thais love farang but I never hear of any black gay guys talk about their experience in Thailand or any Thai gay guy talking about the perception of black men in the gay community over there. Thinking of going to BKK soon and experience the gay scene so any input would be appreciated

Had the time of my life.
As a black man, Thai men were friendly and welcoming to me. I didn’t want to come back home.
Then I had to come back to America and endure the realities of the men back here…. ugh…..

If a land is fucked up just look for the British footprint. No one thinks of them anymore (all empires eventually fail) but the British Empire once ruled the world and left behind quite a racist footprint.
I’ve been to Thailand twice — only Bangkok and Pattaya. I was there visiting affluent friends (lol) both times so I never engaged in any play. My experiences out and about were very positive. Thais are not aggressive or argumentative. It’s a royal and military dictatorship, so people are very “subservient”, especially to Westerners.
I’ll leave it to others who might have more insight but at the end of the day, Thailand is a developing country with a huge wealth gap. When it comes to sex, unless you’re going to wealthier/affluent venues where locals are more or less on the same economic level as you here in the States, mostly everyone will view any encounters with you as being transactional. Casual sex with a Westerner, irrespective of race, just for the hell of it is a rarity.
Never been to Thailand. But would love to see what it’s all about. Any good black spots?
