There are precisely 0 Trump supporters who fought for the Union or the confederacy in the US Civil War.

Black Privilege, being told by a white man in 2017 that you didn't fight in the civil war:
By the end of the Civil War, roughly 179,000 black men (10% of the Union Army) served as soldiers in the U.S. Army and another 19,000 served in the Navy. Nearly 40,000 black soldiers died over the course of the war—30,000 of infection or disease. Black soldiers served in artillery and infantry and performed all noncombat support functions that sustain an army, as well. Black carpenters, chaplains, cooks, guards, laborers, nurses, scouts, spies, steamboat pilots, surgeons, and teamsters also contributed to the war cause. There were nearly 80 black commissioned officers. Black women, who could not formally join the Army, nonetheless served as nurses, spies, and scouts, the most famous being Harriet Tubman (photo citation: 200-HN-PIO-1), who scouted for the 2d South Carolina Volunteers.

It is our heritage. The people that came before us are part of ourselves. Not everyone can understand that.

But you don't get to take credit for their heroism, or evoke their memories to excuse your own actions.

No, they aren't. You carry their genes. You can make the decision to try and honor their good deeds, or make amends for their bad ones, but their work isn't your work, their deeds aren't your deeds, their legacy isn't your legacy. They aren't you.

You didn't fight in the civil war, and truth be told, a lot of the statements you make in here dishonor the the memory of those who did.

You liberals try to make everything about your race. Something bad happens and you blame your race first instead of your actions. Liberals are the racists.

Bulldog00 attempts to dodge responsibility for his remarks.
