Now that this eternal fool has weighed in against Palin, I'm certain that she is a suitable choice. He was very good in that movie where his head was conjoined with Greg Kinnear's. I just always assumed that there was at least a normal-sized brain in that Jupiter-sized head of his.

I am one who thinks that all actors and people in the entertainment industry should shut the fuck up about politics. I avoid all who speak out. It turns me off to the max. I dont care who they are for or against.

whenever you want a good perspective about actors and politics, just turn on Team America. Pretty much nails it dead on.

Well I hate to say it...but it's sadly true. Some people...sigh...take what celebrities say as gospel. The educated man/woman know better...but being from an area of the south where some people aren't so educated. They either register Democrat or Republican...and who ever wins that nomination is who they vote for. Period. As long as their party wins...it's all good.

Very glad I escaped from my hometown....*shivers* But hey...at least I had a gun rack on my tricycle. :)

So, who is the pussy, the dick and the asshole in this election cycle?

Hmmm! That's unfair, only 3 body parts but 4 actors.

Wonderfully, succinctly, with an insightful PWNAGE of her pathetic ass

New end, shouldn't you wait until Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan endorse this line of thinking before you jump in line with Matt Demon?

Wait, wait. Pam Anderson has something important to say, too.

Are you saying, because he is a celebrity, he can't be smart? IS that what you are getting at? I also love how you picked out 3 female celebrities.

Oh

Does she believe dinosaurs were here 4000 years ago? I need to know that... I need to know, because, you know, she will have the nuclear codes.

HILARIOUS!!!

I respect and support Matt Damon's right to discuss politics and state opinions about politicians or any other subject. Imo, no one, entertainment industry or not, whether I agree with them or not, should be silent about the political course of their country.

Also, I did not find anything he said idiotic.
It wasn't, by any means, polished, but extemporaneous thoughts rarely meet that standard.

you have to admit it is rather funny to hear actors complaining about the "evil corporations", and then you hear Clooney doing commercial voiceovers for Budweiser, (owned by Anheuser Busch, which ranks 40th in the Toxic 100 list of US companies most responsible for air-pollution) and AT&T

and Sarandon doing voiceover commercials for Stouffers (which is owned by Nestle. You would think someone as "politically aware" as Sarandon would have a problem accepting a big check from a company like Nestle, who is accused of using slave labor in the manufacturing of their chocolate (not to mention a host of other exploitations in the developing world)

Nestlé - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"As actors, it is our responsibility to read the newspapers, and then say what we read on television like it's our own opinion!!!!"

I must be missing the connection between the T-Rex, Stegosaurus and modern-day politics.

I will admit that our nation knows, in times of uncertainty, it can turn to human Pez Dispenser Matt Damon for sage guidance and direction.

Pick up next week's issue of US Weekly, where Matt and Gary Busey unviel their foreign policy proposal and discuss upcoming Bourne XXIV.

And yes, I am implying that he's not very smart.

And your evidence of this is what? His pure pwnage of your hero in a skirt and glasses?

Great. I just wonder when we will be able to read Palin's foreign policy proposals. Wait, I forgot, she doesn't have any... ....except South Ossetia is worth risking nuclear war with Russia.

Oh, and Israel is more important than America. Nice jacket pin.

That probably wasn't the best part of her interview, I will give you that.

Yet you're complaining about Matt Damon's interview, without giving a reason, but you aren't about hers?

What about the fact that she couldn't handle a simple question about the Bush Doctrine? Seriously, that was a softball interview and she did terrible.

You are certain that she is suitable. He is not. That does not make him an idiot. Obviously Palin asking "What does a V.P. do again?" in this interview did little to reassure him and other voters.

Insomuch as he believes it appropriate to refer to a public servant as a "bad Disney movie" on a national stage - it doesn't do much to advance the Hollywood cause.

Frankly, I hope he keeps talking.
