LOL! Awsome! I have to go shopping sometime soon...wonder what I should get! My normal clothes are pretty mediocre if ya ask me!

I've seen yer pictures, I like the way you dress. But I need a lot of new clothes. Like, everything I own is too big because I had a growth spurt. My waist was a 32, now it's a 30. However, I always buy a size up so it can hang off my hips. So, I'd wear 34s, and well...let's sat they like to fall off. I don't mind being naked, but like, I'm so not getting arrested for "indecent exposure". I don't ever wear underwear, so...Anyhoots, I'm totally rambling :p

Depends if yer a surfer or not. I only recommend surf brands to surfers. I don't mean to sound like, way mean or anything, but like, my culture is begining to be exploited by companies like A&E and the GAP and all. And yah, surfing is more than a sport. There are people who surf, and then there are surfers. It's an entire subculture, which has become popular in the retail business right now.

Join the club. Globalization's like the Borg, and the people in marketing are the most Borg-like.

Oh, on the rez, we had our own tourists; we called the worst ones twinkies, because their worldview was sickeningly sweet and ultimately bad for you.

I wonder if there's a term for the ppl that come up from hot countries and dress in ridiculous fur coats and enormous snow boots, cos they look just as stupid as the germans on your beach!! ha ha ha We see a lot of italians, greeks and spanish in Dublin around xmas, when it can get to -8 or so, and they're so wrapped up you could give them as gifts!!!!

Lol the Gap I hate that store. Along with all the prissy AE, A+F where it costs like $50000+++ for a pair of socks. My dad always tries to take me to those kinda stores being the stuck up fancy jerk he is and i tell him I'd rather kiss a toilet seat. Besides, I have nothing to show off on me anyway :p I'll stick to more reasonable places. Here in the winter it's funny to see the kinds of ridiculous people who come to my area and when they come to the store freaking out over a possible 3 inches of snow. Where I am, thats a dusting. But it IS funny seeing how overdressed they are while they're here! Especially at the mountains where they all decide to ski and then whine about how they hate the cold...and come back the very next year!

You will be punished for that one, Pecker.

rez = reservation. Only hold the "e" for about half a beat, though. Usually when someone says "the rez", they mean the reservation they were born on.

Cool if you are. I'm actually part Sioux (only 1/16), but I think it's still something to be proud of.

OK, no underwear allowed under boardshorts (thanks surfer) and f it if I get hard :) What was the final ruling on what or not to wear under a wet suit? If I wear a suit to go diving I wear my board shorts (now sans underwear) because it's always mixed company (not a group of surfer guys) BUT if a group of guys wants to go diving, I'm in :)

Oh, I don't shave like before :)

Hau. Most of us just say Indian, though. I'm Lakota, which means that if you can get me in front of a camera, I take a good picture. LOL

nice one.

Since you have a more personal perspective on this one, I've got a question for you jon. Are you ever offended by certain mascots of schools/teams? When I was back in high school, our mascot used to be the Indians, but we went through a whole pc mess and switched our mascot to the Patriots. (If you actually think about it, going from a possibly demeaning mascot, to a mascot that killed the people you're trying to be nice to....not the smartest thing ever.)

Well, the mascot's less of an issue as (say) land rights. Or the fact that in most of the Great Plains region, a non-Indian perpetrator and an Indian victim is a surefire recipe for acquittal. As a general rule, though, the basic rule is that you can't say it's an honor if the people you're "honoring" say it's demeaning.
