ok guys ( and girls too )

what's the best way you've found to remove chest hair, pubic hair, ...well, any unwanted hair? after hair removal, how do you maintain your skin, prevent itchiness, ingrown hairs etc...?

i don't intend this to be a debate on what's better, smooth or hairy or anything in between. but for those times when you want to achieve and maintain that smooth hair-free look and feel, what do you do?

i used to shave. but for myself, the completely smooth and hairless feel would last only about a day, particularly on my chest. more recently, i've been using an epilator to "tweeze" out all my hairs. this is incredibly painful at first, but gets less so with regular use. epilating definitely produces sexy smoothness and lasts me about a week. but, unless i am diligent with body scrub and ingrown hair treatment, ingrown hairs can be an issue.

so, what are your preferences?

shave, wax, epilate, laser? any great recommendation on skin treatment in-between?

I shave most of it. Fairly regularly but not every day ... maybe weekly.

I use a cream hair remover on a couple of places. Do not do this on genitals.

Tweezers just on a few shoulder hairs.

Have had my back waxed about three or four times, over the years, but not done it in a long while. It's easier to ask my partner to run a razor over the few thin patches on my back.

I had electrolysis once, but it's quite painful. Just by way of comparison, I speak as someone who has many extensive tattoos, and did for a long time have pierced nipples, a "guiche" piercing behind my scrotum, and a PA in my cock  Hair removal is worse ...

Maintenance for me is just occasional use of exfoliating cream/gels ( soap with grit in it ) and even more occasional use of a moisturiser.

ingrown hair seems to be a bigger problem if you epilate. Can only recommend using something like TendSkin. Brilliant for razor burn, bumps, ingrown hair.

I have coarse curly hairs, and found shaving in a down direction along with rubbing in olive oil or coconut oil helps with keeping itch, burn and in grown hair issues down.

On a plus side is both are silky smooth, edible, and smell nice.

I have not so much hair on my ball sack, so ripping away with a wax job is quick and not so painful.

I recommend laser
Had it done on chest, abd, pubes, anus, underarms; I actually perform laser in Boston.
Many clients who have had laser and wax or tattoos say laser is less uncomfortable than waxing or tattoos. It does require commitment to keep up with a schedule and it does cost some money, but when done practically no maintenance at all
