ok- i know most people think BO is disgusting, but the intended purpose of it is to give off pheromones to help attract a mate. i think the reason BO smells bad, if it does, is because of bad diet, or poor health. lets face it, eating alot of meat, sugar, and refined foods is not likely gonna lead to a pleasant smell. i have been told my odor is erotic ....i generally eat well, and avoid lots of meat and refined sugary stuff. normally i dont have any BO, coz i shower regularly and use deodorant, but if i dont use it for a few days (but still shower) i do have some BO, but it is not offensive.

sooooooo........what does everyone think? can BO be arousing?.....or is it just plain gross and a turn-off?

Out and about scents are fine. Post-workout sweat is disgusting. There are people that get off on the stench of the scrotum after long, sweaty days... I don't understand that one. x.x

So yea, normal "I've been out in the sun for a while, then I went to the store, blahblahblah" scents can be mildly arousing. :x

Not! The odor of long unwashed body parts and marinated clothing is a major turn off. That is different from someone who does not prefer to wear masking fragrances but has good overall hygiene.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- I love the way my man smells at the end of a day much more than the way he smells right after a shower.

Before sucking Artfulwilly's cock, I like to breathe deeply of his scent there, and taste his musk. It's a powerful aphrodisiac for me, and a mild aroma of sweat anywhere on his body is also a tremendous turn-on. In addition, the taste of salt on the skin of his chest or back is delicious to me.

Of course, there are limits, and about 36 to 48 hours after a shower, the body's natural odours become more overpowering to me than alluring.

But a cock should taste and smell like a cock, IMO, not like a bar of soap. At least, that's my preference.

Several of my partners have told me that I smell musky after working out (or during and after sex), I apparently have a very 'manly' smell (whatever that is). It seemed to be a very positive thing for my women, so I would say yes, body odour (the good kind) is definitely a turn on for a lot of women, possibly more than for men.

Hey, radicaldick:

You are right in saying that what you eat, etc. has a great effect on how your body smells. It also has an effect on how your ejaculate smells, etc.

It is important that one take daily baths or showers, use a deorderant that is not too strong, keep a healthy body, and to practice good hygiene. This includes the care of the teeth and tongue for fresh breath. And, don't forget the bum and the penis if uncut!

This all said, a person's clean, natural body oder is a real turn-on. I hate colognes and strong smelling other things, much preferring the natural scent that makes that person special. There are some times when a natural oder can be enhanced, such as during sex. Then the sweat in the armpits and crotch increase that personal aroma. This is when I really become aware of that person's pheromones. A wonderful thing, the body, and what a real turn-on!

If it's just the musky crotch odor that guys acquire during the day, then it's really hot!

A bit off topic, but has anyone else ever noticed that blond guys do not at all or get less of this musky crotch smell than dark haired guys?

I agree completely. Say a guy gets up in the a.m., showers, goes through his day, sweats a little, wears unscented deodorant, doesn't have a B.M. after the shower, etc....I'm very likely to love smelling his pits, crotch, and ass...then licking all of the above.:tongue: There's a difference between hardcore raunch and the above!

I feel the same as Holly. The normal smell of a man after a day isn't dirty or unpleasant, it's just the way he smells, I don't want to be jumping in the sack with someone who smells of products, I want to be able to smell his skin and his intrinsic maleness. Also smelling BO in a shop or at work is totally different to working up a sweat together from hours of hard sex, then it's a turn on that keeps your engine revved :)

Some bodily smell is very sexy, but that acrid, acidic, garlicky BO is repulsive to me. I dated a girl who was like that and I just could not get past it. That was when I found out about the what you eat and how you taste or smell connection.

I tend to eat lot's of natural sugar foods (fruit) before sex and being intimate. It so far has seemed to work for both of us.

Now, the sweaty smell you get from sex? That always is a turn on.

Body Odor Sexy? Not to me. I love clean bodies and I don't mind a fragrance. Great hygiene is a big turn on for me. I know I can get down and dirty without really getting dirty!

I'm very attracted by the musky odor of men. The best is a clean odor, before the bacteria have had a chance to get to work. Like showering, doing a work out, and then coming home -- to me. There's a brief window where natural body odors smell wonderfully pungent rather than malodorous. I do get into guys' armpits and crotch smells (nothing poopy), but the timing has to be right and the person has to smell good with me to begin with.

Male phermones don't waft around the room like women's do. You have to be pretty close to get a response.

With women, there's a point where they just begin to perspire that's just amazing. Too much and the odor becomes bitter but not as unpleasant as that of men. I can deal with female BO better than male BO.

I love the smell of fresh sweat and have been known to nuzzle an armpit before now! But it does HAVE to be fresh. After an while, what was divine starts to turn nasty which is not nice at all...
