So today I was at Tru TV (formerly Court TV) and all of a sudden there was an overhead announcement that the avenue in front was being blocked off w/police activity for suspicious packages and please exit the bldg. thru the side entrance. Of course people flip out b/c it was not that long ago and right around the corner where the big explosion was in the street. For that one I was working right above it at my the nite job.
We all went down to the street today and found a large, very large ammount of police and bomb squad officers and the streets all blocked off. They made us back up the side street and a few minutes later made us all get farther away, It was really weird and scary. Not as scary as the last real explosion. The helicopters from the news and photographers only added to the tension. Finally after almost 1/2 hr they opened the street.
I think it's only a matter of time til it's real again.
