To be honest it set a while ago. But I think there will be real civil unrest here when people realise what has really happened and it hits their wallets, pensions, healthcare etc

If the UK is like the US you will find that it takes a while for the consequences of 'stupid' to sink in to the masses that brought this about.

Oh how Hubby and I used to love watching Benny Hill. And laughing and laughing and laughing some more. I can still hear the music in my head that played when he chased all the pretty young things. Thanks for posting the picture and bringing back such fond memories...

It'll be interesting to see if Scotland begins efforts to leave the UK for the EU.
It will be fun!
Trouble is Scotland is part of the UK.
When the UK leave the Eu so does Scotland.
Scotland then has to get permission from Westminster to hold a referendum and if it goes for a leave vote
Scotland will then have to apply in the same way as any other country to join the EU.
This could take up to five years - Scotland isn't a special case.
Mind you with the corrupt EU Commission who knows how far they would bend the rules to do a two fingers up as the UK

It's been already discussed and the common opinion is, that Scotland could join the EU instantly. They already meet the criteria, because they have been a EU member for so long.

The only problem would be nations like Spain, where areas want to be independent, but still be a part of the EU. Till now, every separation means an exit from the EU. Every nation stated they would veto a membership of former territory, if they would try to rejoin.

Anyway. In case of Scotland the position is, that it isn't comparable to Catalonia's situation, for example. It's the mother nation that wants to leave and only that's the reason why this "region" wants to rejoin.
Therefore does no nation with separation problems will have to fear an example that areas could separate and rejoin.

Scotland isn't a sovereign Nation or even an independent state and counts as part of the UK - UNITED KINGDOM.
When the UK leaves the EU it will be the UK as a whole.
Don't get me wrong, I would be delighted if Scotland and its sniveling mighty assed leader were to break away and get independence. But it aint going to happen overnight no matter what that bitch claims.
Oh, yes, I am a Scot!

I never said Scotland is independent, bore that it would be a matter of days to get Scotland back into the EU.

All I explained was the position of the EU. That the common opinion is, that Scotland could rejoin, if they like and that it would be fast compared to other candidates. (All never officially confirmed) The EU made clear that they never will encourage Scotland to leave the UK.
