VH1 did a series called I Love The 70's and dedicated and hour for each year. If you have a chance to see it, it will give you the flavor of the 70's but like most things... you had to be there!

I ran off to Europe for 3 weeks in March of 79. Didn't get back to Canada until the summer of 1980 after traveling to west Africa and the middle east. My parents were slightly pissed off but we had some good times. )
