Oh, and one more thing: It's over $43 now.

According to your post, as of October 10th BP stock was at 41.92 and you're celebrating (and gloating) that it's trading above $43. Meanwhile, the hubby and I invested in Apple Stock. It was at 295 back on October 10th. Today, it closed at 321.01.

What was that about BP again? Yeah, some "good buy" that was. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a new MacBook Pro to configure.

Nope, was just pointing out that even since the last post, to which you and a few others bickered and sneered, it has moved up even further. Interesting, given all of the posts throughout the thread suggesting the would go out of business and only a fool would believe the company would ever return a profit to an investor.

Good call on AAPL. They are the new GE. Beat earnings estimates every. single. quarter.

It's limping upward ever so slowly. The stock price for BP barely reached 80 in the last ten years, and even at its recent worst it was around 29. There's always a demand for oil so anyone could predict that the stock price would eventually go up. But why invest in a company like BP after everything that has transpired?

I was trying to get loved ones to buy Apple back in the late 90s when the stock was as low as $5. This was around the time they were about to unveil the first iMac G3. As much as the hubzilla and I enjoying the constant climbing of this stock, things would be much different for us now if we bought the shares back then. Live & learn I guess.

Starpooper thinks BP was and is still a good buy? He's not a terribly keen stock prognosticator for someone who works as an "investment advisor". I bought one hundred thousand Dollars of Ford at $1.02 share back in August/September 2008. A year later I sold them short when they reached $8 a share knowing that capital gains tax would still be only 15% for one more year. I would have been happy to have dumped everything at a $1.25 a share. Personally, I'm not trying to be greedy or top of the hill. I was just looking around for somewhere to park cash than in a savings account or CD. I wonder what other "good buys" el pooper predicts with his Magic 8 Ball. Actually, I take that back. I really don't want to know or hear of any of his surefire picks.

Well, since you asked - load up on GSG. Its an ishare that tracks commodity prices. Commodities will soar over the next few years as inflation will rage and the dollar will continue to fall.

This will be a 'homerun' as it were.

Take that to the bank.
